hmm, I dont think so. Maybe I could rig something poor-man's style like styrofoam around 3 sides of the tank to keep temps more consistent, at least until I get a bigger tank...
When I get a bit of free time, I'll see if I can hunt down a pic and post it for you.
Haha! I use that exact same thermometer (Springfield)! Don't you love how accurate they are? I even use them in my incubators, and you can't beat the cheap Walmart price!


Great pics, thAnk you Deb, I notice the tank itself is resting ion top of a layer of insulation as well. what i have read and been told is that the UTH should have some air-space underneath it for circulation and/or safety, did you run the styrofoam all the way underneath the heat-pad?
