To drag someone's name into a public forum, it is only reasonable and smart to make pretty sure you know what you're talking about beforehand.
It doesn't seem that's the case here.
No matter how you slice it, this whole campaign smells a little fishy.
I'm not defending Ed's lack of response, because I also know that in some cases, it is better to take a loss, go the extra mile, than have bad publicity.
I'm not liking either party at this point.
I understand what you are saying, but not everyone is a "businessman", nor do I believe that Emily thought she had any reason to doubt what she was told by her vet. I honestly don't believe that Emily had anything but honorable intentions here and thought she was doing the right thing. I could be wrong.....but I don't believe I am.
While I believe that it is very likely that these animals came to her loaded with parasites, there is no way to prove that beyond a doubt. 10 months IS a long time, and if they were my snakes, I would have had them tested long ago, as soon as it became evident that they were eating but not gaining weight. But of course, as has been said before, hindsight is always 20/20....and not everyone is as knowledgeable as some.
From a "business" standpoint, Ed probably has no black and white obligations here. But one would hope that he would at least be a man and do more than blow off her concerns and ignore her questions.
