    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Dennis could you clarify this for me please. I'm not terribly up on your coin system here and the whole Mod powers thing. So if somebody simply ponies up the appropriate cash, they then get a certain coin and this coin enables pretty far reaching Mod powers? Is this different than the people I've heard called "Super Mods"? If there is an actual thread somewhere that has all this information, than my apologies for this question and I'd appreciate a link so I can figure out how all this works.
 
Joanna , yes you can assume that is the case with Ed and I wonder the same thing myself but I don't know that.. I just get tired of seeing it tossed out all the time, the way some play on it you'd think they expect people to just pay the shipping to them of a free animal.

Lynn, disagree all you want but look at your post and tell me would you be worried about selling to someone who expects that 5 years down the road?? I know I would be worried or a better word Shocked! Randy

Worried... yes. Shocked... no. Nothing people do really shocks me anymore.

But if a past customer came to me, proving that the snake had been sold to them by me (and had not changed hands), proving that they had purchased it from me, and proving that nothing in their husbandry had caused the problem, I would still try to help them. I would still try to make it right...
 
Lynn, You keep using the word proving and since that can't be done 10 months much less 5 years from now I take it that you wouldn't be giving replacements, refunds ETC ETC....Randy

In the classifieds section, they can hard delete their threads. I've heard arguments on both sides of this issue, and there is just no middle ground available. Half of the people complain because the old ads are still there, and half complain because the old ads they want to see are NOT there. :shrug01: So I just flipped a coin, more or less.
 
Randy, I think maybe we're talking about two different things.

A person could prove that an animal in question was sold to them by me. Pictures could do it. Invoices maybe. If I kept good records, I could certainly prove to whom I had sold the animal.

And if they came to me, showing me vet bills for routine check-ups, showed me that their collection was tested regularly for bugs, that the animal in question had been tested and found clean, etc---that nothing they had done has caused the animals death---I might just send them a replacement.

And even if they couldn't show me all these things, while I might not send them a replacement, I would still talk to, try to help them with any problem, and perhaps come to a reasonable agreement between the two of us (and I say REASONABLE---I wouldn't take demands or threats. If someone wants to talk to me, fine... demanding, not so much).


Ed Clark has done none of these things. He refuses even to talk to Emily! She has not made any demands of threats... she has merely asked for information. And Ed refuses to even acknowledge her existence! Even after ten months, I don't see how talking would hurt? :shrug01:

Emily never asked for any of that in the first place.

She just wanted some help from Ed to track down the origins of the parasites. Which he refused to do in any way. Which is why this thread is here. Not for replacements, not for refunds, but to warn people who have bought from him to hopefully prevent the spread of parasites as much as possible.
 
It would be nice if the people that chastised Emily and stood up for Ed would make a public apology now that it has been shown that Ed is a spineless liar and thief.

My viewpoint on this matter has not changed, therefore there is no reason for me to make a "public apology". Like I said in a previous post in this thread, I AM sorry that Emily and her snakes are having to go through this. It is very disappointing that Ed Clark did not even have the cajones to post here, much less correspond with Emily in a professional manner about the situation. However, I still stand by what I noted previously: Too much time had passed to prove the origin(s) of the parasites.
 
Kelli, I agree with you. However, I firmly believe that when you add everything together, you end up with a preponderance of the evidence situation. Ed's silence on this forum but bolstering behavior on other's is damning enough.

This stopped being about parasites, for me anyways, a long time ago. This has everything to do with character, of which Ed has been found lacking. Some may convict him for the parasites. Some may convict him for his lack of posts. Some may convict him for his lies. I convict him because of the whole package.

When you take a bird's eye view of this situation, one has more than enough information to place him in the "DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH" category.

Besides Ed, of course...the ones I feel that truly owe Emily an apology are tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum...er, I mean Bruce and Bud. They have done nothing in this thread except accuse her of making things up, of having poor husbandry, and any other slimy accusations their little brain could come up with between the two of them. All without even a hint of truth or evidence to back themselves up.

Unfortunately, it appears they have taken to heart those lessons with their Jedi Master Ed and have pulled the same miraculous disappearing act.
 
Hey Emily! I was just wondering how those girls are doing with their treatment. Can we get an update on them?
