If the rumor was just some mild honest speculation by folks without an agenda, then it would be no big deal. You both would also not have heard of it if that were the case, and the people with "nothing to hide", if it were honest speculation, would have posted here. Fact is, you did not hear it from random hobbyists in the business, you especially Chris. You both discussed it with the same entity, a "breeder"
You did not hear this from people who called you out of the blue asking "what's up with the growth stimulents at Chameleon Company", a false rumor for the new reader here, and the reason for my initiating this thread.
Chris, you hold yourself up with this myriad of self-appointed titles and self-initiated atta'boys, but as you are finding out, you cannot self-annoint integrity. The "as it grew in frequency" was only a statistical measure of how often you, and your buddies who first decided it was a good rumor to foment, decided to talk of it, and has much in common with a basic circle-jerk. For the record, so as not to tarnish your assistant editor at the E-Zine, he and I have communicated often enough, and he is not of your ilk. He has standards, while apparently you can be bought, for you have certainly shown how easily you are compromised here. If that is not a true statement, then post how you heard the rumor, from whom, or have them post. I already have emails and phone calls from a half-dozen folks putting the crosshairs where they belong, but I also enjoy seeing who is man enough, or better put who is not, to come forward. If you can't ... you're bought, and pretty cheaply too.
As it currently stands, the next time anyone becomes embroiled with either of you (Heika and Chris) in a thread in another forum, and those in the chameleon world who read there have seen it often enough in the past, I hope that those you are attempting to belittle will link to this thread as a demonstration of your true character. You are where you currently are by choice. You will stay there if it is what you choose.
