Exactly. However, if approx. 40 law enforcement officers were to cite you in your community for a single and same driving offense, you would be more than a little indignant and shouting "foul" at every opportunity. Not to mention that no judge in the US would allow it to stand (not to mention members of the law enforcement community wouldn't allow such a gross miscarriage of justice to be perpetrated on ANY violator of a crime.) It is this singular issue that seems to present a problem here on fauna as too many people are able to issue warning points with what appears to be minimal (if any) oversight. My offense was a singular "PROFANITY" and had been addressed just like a single offense of speeding or failure to wear a seatbelt would be addressed by a law enforcement officer. However, regardless of the fact that my initial defense of my words failed and I accepted the points and was unable to alter the post, I keep getting dinged. This thread seems to be getting a bit of traffic now and if nothing else perhaps it is useful to other fauna members, who haven't been named moderators or paid their dues which give them the inherant privelage to give warning points, to learn exactly what is and what is not.
There was a time when an apology meant something. Do I have a personal dislike for JB @ ks.com? Yes. Did I state it strongly and perhaps inappropriately in my posting? Yes. While I can not apologize for personal feelings, I do apologize for the strong wording which has been viewed as profanity by more than one individual (and these were tempered words used in expressing my opinion at the time they were written.) Yes, for those words and phrases, I apologize.

(still wondering how many others of the possible approx. 40 are still going to ding me with more points)
