Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My crime was that I refused to delete a thread from my FaunaClassifieds BOI site, and now I must pay the price.

I never even realized I was violating a kingsnake.com TOS until it was far too late. The damage has been done, and now I am trying to live with the stigma of being a kingsnake.com non-entity.

I need a group hug.......

I'm not banned....yet.. I just got a email from Kevin telling me I was bad cause of a hosting ad on my personal site.

Are we going to have a 12 step program for offenders?

i got banned for mentioning this website.

i am now forced to exert the effort to help make something happen elsewhere. i have no clue where to start. i have a
feeling we are the first of many and this could ultimately be
the start of Jeff's undoing. i emailed Gerry and asked him
to come on over too.

frankly, i don't think i have the intellect or the time to actually
build something but maybe if webslave started something i
could help moderate it. i'd be willing to help if my help is
needed.

I'm surprised I haven't been banned yet. Can I at least be a member by proxy? You know, a "guilt by association" kind of thing!
 
I feel lucky

The reason I fell lucky is I plug the BIO evry chance I get on Kingsnake.com and have yet to have anyone tell me I can't.

So as long as I can I'll plug the BIO on Kngsnake.com and contime to put links on thier Forums

~ I take consolation in one thing, though. If I WERE a member of Kingsnake and they caught wind of the nasty things I have been known to say about them...then they surely, would have banned me! Right?

My name is Patti Frawley and I too am a Kingsnake.com abuser. I am one of the few that I know that actually did break the TOS, though. I made posts about defective mercury vapor bulbs I had, and foolishly posted the manufacturers' names. I regretted that I went into such specific detail microseconds after posting, but there are no features to edit the posts there and so it remained on the boards.

When pressed by a representative of one of the companies to retract my statements and pretend that I made the whole thing up, I refused and was banned. I felt that once it was already out there, why not at least let others know that bulbs containing mercury that have faulty bulb necks can come apart and release mercury salts?

My friend ramoth was then banned for answering questions about me on the birdhobbyist.com side of things because I am such a dangerous individual.

I am evil personified, and perhaps I should be banned from FaunaClassifieds as well. ;)
 
Seamus and I both said less-than-complimentary things about Ms. Kaplan on the iguana forum, but neither of us have yet to be banned AFAIK.

HOWEVER! Someone just posted a comparison of a restuarant owner's right to refuse service to a rowdy customer to the bannings that have recently taken place on the collecting forum. I have a "No soup for YOU!" post in mind, so I'll likely be twelve steppin' it with the rest of you shortly.

Hey Patti, if being informative, intelligent, knowledgeable, helpful, and a nice person is evil, then that is the kind of evil we all want here.

I never even knew you were banned. I go there so infrequently now, though, that they probably could have banned me and I wouldn't know for a couple of weeks.
 
I too was a casualty...

I was a casualty of the war that occurred as a result of Gerry Binczik being permanently banned from Kingsnake. I made posts in his defense that explicitly stated, in the title no less, that the Kingsnake moderators were abusing their power. I got the ax pretty quickly.

Yes, I sold out and created a new log-on name pretty quickly. I just couldn't stand to lose access to my precious Watersnake forum.

For the record, I'm in the "create a new field collecting forum" camp.
