• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Help, cant reply to threads!

Oh my gosh this happens to me too!! What is happening!!! I am sooo confused!!! :hehe: :no01:

Mods, I feel for you. Just shoot me :bandhead0:

Ok I take it back, now I can reply to ads in the classifieds. I am so confused again! I went to a link on here that said something about "becoming a contributor", I chose what level contributorship I wanted to be, and then I followed it to paypal, and then I clicked on "send payment" and then it brought me back here. Now when I go into the classifieds I can reply to whatever I want. I am so lost as to what just happened. But I do have some pretty amazing investigatorship skills and what I think is happening is that when you become a fauna contributor, you can reply to ads in the classifieds, but if you are not a contributor, you cannot. That is what I am leaning towards based off what just happened to me. I also read this other thread in here http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249378&page=18 that makes me think I am on the right track with my investigating as well. I am pretty sure I saw someone post something about a change to how the classifieds work on fauna now. I could be way off but I doubt it because I like I said, I have pretty awesome investigator skillszz! :D :dgrin:

Seriously now though, Rich can do whatever he wants on here that he feels is best for the site. IT IS HIS SITE!!! Don't like it, go somewhere else. Really a simple thing. I figured I have been here long enough and participating that it was time for me to fork over my part and get some coins. I have sold several snakes here and purchased a few too. I get great advice, have made some cool friends, and have only benefited from fauna being here. So I am stoked to contribute to it's health and betterment. Conversations in ads really are not needed. Just like they do on Ebay, if a good question gets asked about a sale item, then the seller can add that info into the ad for all to see. If it's a scammer or known bad guy, then don't buy from them. Pretty simple. Do your research on sellers in the BOI first! If it's just someone with less than average smarts trying to sell a python with a picture of a corn snake, don't buy from them either. Or you can send them a message and see if it was a mistake and if they really do have for sale what it is you want. Anyone can make a stupid mistake uploading a pic too fast and not double checking afterwards! I have done it myself but usually I am not overly slammed and busy to double check any ad I post for accuracy. But for those that post lots of for sale ads and get moving too quickly, I can understand and forgive that for happening in error if I clear it up with them and get a good feeling from that person after exchanging some emails. Anything that we could do before by replying to ads, can still be done by simply sending a seller a message and asking questions. If you don't feel good about their answers or communications...move along and simply don't send them money.
