In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....
Come on guys, I know it's a easy target but I think we all could find enough ammunition without going after someone's appearance. That's one issue you don't have much control of. We're better than that.

Anyone find it funny that their 'company' is called High End Herps yet their 'facility' is a big dump?

I'm reposting this link from another member who posted it: http://www.villeplattetoday.com/con...constrictors-seized-oakdale-among-many-others

Look at the pics of the property, 'facility', caging, condition, etc. All those small tubs arent in a rack and dont have heat, the bigger cages have clamp lights holding onto the outside of the cage pointed towards the door of the cage to give the snake warmth, so they dont even have correct heating, and overall it's more filthy than a junkyard. You might as well go 'hand pick' wild caughts because that seems like what you'd be getting out of that 'company'! :ack2:

Besides "mug" shots never make you look good.Sort of like getting your drivers license picture taken on your worst hair day ever

Not a very intimidating looking fellow.... LOL.... after the very descriptive death threats I recieved and hearing about what he told Dr Owens... I pictured a hardcore looking guy.......

Its great that woman came forward..... just goes to show you that us Cajun people dont take too kindly to outsiders moving in and starting crap in our communities...... we have a strong sense of community here in South Louisiana... He came to the wrong place

TailswithScales,

As a person from experience of having done buisness with him, he provides a great transaction, and don't have to worry about getting the snake late or not being in contact with him, cause i give him 2 thumbs up for that! :)

I bought a 3 burms from him not too long ago like 3months ago the most, and they are all beautiful except one came very spicy if you know what i mean!

Thanks,
Edgar

So you're willing to give two thumbs up to a guy who screwed me out of about $900???? Did you not read ANY of the recent /follow up posts???

Why don't you send me those 3 Burms you got from him to make up for the $900 he took from me. Even then I doubt they'll cover it.

You're brave saying that about someone with a pretty hefty criminal record and animal abuser.

Proof of sale please.
Receipts, emails, photo of shipping box, animals.

I'm sorry to hear that bro, but i don't have the receipts or shipping box anymore with me, but i can tell you what i bought from him!

And well you must be crazy if you think I'll give you my burms i got from him, but yea like i said sorry to hear your loss!

Its not bravery its honesty! There's a difference!

Thanks guys. Let's make it tougher on everyone, shall we?

House panel sets size limits,
conditions on reptile sales

Mike Hasten • [email protected] • May 6,
2010

BATON ROUGE — Prompted by poor conditions
found at a snake breeder's facility near Oakdale, a
House committee Wednesday unanimously
approved Rep. Dorothy Sue Hill's legislation setting
restrictions on sales and housing of dangerous
reptiles.

Hill, D-Dry Creek, said neighbors of the "High End
Herps Inc." facility near Oakdale have been
complaining about their pets disappearing, possibly
being used as snake food, and expressing fears that
snakes could escape.

"It's the pythons and poisonous snakes I'm definitely
scared of," Hill said. "The sheriff's hands are tied
and the D.A.'s hands are tied because we don't have
a law."

An ad on its website offering constrictors longer
than the 12-foot limited allowed by state law without
a permit prompted the Allen Parish Sheriff's
Department to investigate in March. It contacted the
Department of Wildlife and Fisheries after finding 22
pythons longer than the 12 feet limit that triggers
current state law requiring a permit for ownership.

David Beauchemin, 43, and Tawni Beauchemin, 23,
operators of High End Herps, were arrested.

Allen Parish Chief Deputy Grant Willis said about
300 pythons and other reptiles were being kept in
"plastic containers you could buy at Wal-Mart" and
could have easily escaped.

Some snakes were in wood and wire screen boxes.

A list of reptiles retrieved from the facility features
numerous poisonous snakes, including cobras and
black mambas, which had been imported and bred
at the facility.

"Black mamba?" questioned House Natural Resources
Chairman Gordon Dove, R-Houma. "That's a very
fast snake. If it bites you, it's over. If it should get in
the wild, it's a very bad snake. I didn't realize
individuals own them."

"Children are living in the area, so there's a safety
issue," Willis said.

Rep. John Guinn, R-Jennings, said he was "appalled
that Louisiana would even issue licenses house
poisonous snakes. That takes a sick individual to
even be involved in that. If this would outlaw that,
I'd vote for it."

Joe and Joy Lewis, representing the United States
Association of Reptile Keepers, argued against the
bill but said they would support stricter fines or
violating state law.

Joy Lewis said they rescued the snakes from High
End Herps and put them in better facilities. "Not all
of us are like David Beauchemin," she said.

Joe Lewis said he doubts Beauchemin would comply
with the law if it is adopted because he has ignored
laws in California and Arizona and "he's not going
to follow this law."

HB1354 requires licensure for any person selling,
trading, or propagating certain non-indigenous or
poisonous snakes or constrictors. It requires that
anyone marketing constrictors longer than six feet
(amended from 12 feet) or poisonous snakes to
register them and obtain licenses.

Owners of such snakes must receive permits.

There's an exception for animal sanctuaries, zoos,

aquariums, wildlife research centers, scientific
organizations, and medical research facilities listed
in the federal Animal Welfare Act.

State law requires secure structures to house snakes
at commercial facilities that handle constrictors and
poisonous snakes

First of all I'm a girl not a guy and don't really appreciate you calling me 'bro'.

Second how amazing that you purchased from him but cannot provide a shred of proof on it.

And honestly, after seeing where those snakes came from and the conditions they were in I wouldn't want them anyway. Gross.

What about photos of the snakes, how much did you pay for them, how did you pay for them, when did you receive them, what did you buy???

Sick individual to own venomous snakes?? Wow.

Way to really screw thing up for everyone keeping venomous and pythons in the state of LA David /Damon!! Now where are you going to run to?

Will this new requirement make it tougher on those living there to obtain permits and harder to sell animals?

Personally, I don't have a problem with permit systems, as long as they aren't just "pay up and we'll give it to anyone" type of things. I think education, minimum cage requirements, and some safety training is a good thing for the hobby, and will weed out irresponsible keepers. Perhaps an annual refresher, or every other year. A small fee for first issue, and a smaller fee for reinstatement every couple years.

A lot of people might bitch and moan about that, say it ain't right...but I can see it generating a little positive revenue for the parish/county, city or whatever. Maybe even building a better relationship between the wildlife services and the reptile keepers. Might also ease the minds of the concerned, or afraid citizens if they knew that all keepers were trained, met criteria, and are licensed.

Just trying to see the good that could possibly come, instead of focusing on the negative.

Figured I'd go ahead and update there mugshots, er, I mean pictures, straight to the thread.

Damon Heynen, aka all sorts of other names.

Damon%20Heynan.jpg

And Brittany, aka Tawni

Brittany%20Heynen.jpg

I still couldn't tell who was the guy if the name wasn't attached to it.

By the way, I sent Kathryn Crosby who posted here in 07 a message to check out the mugshots, considering she new Heynen before he left CA.

If I had a photo, I'd have posted it already. ;) We were "just hang out" friends, we didn't go out or to parties and such, and didn't get Camera Happy. I only remember (clearly) a camera being used twice: when Tuesday hatched in my hands, and one time my son came over with me to visit the gators Damon took a few photos of him holding Tuesday.

Sorry!

Good idea. Hopefully she'll verify it's him then. Not many have seen him it appears.

I think we've confirmed Brittany already a few pages back. She was Damon's last accomplice/underage girlfriend when he was in Cali. 2+2 LOL
