    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Horrible experience with snakes at sunset

@Pasodama @Dennis Hultman @weird_science04 I dont know what you guys thinking about. But I think it is NOT that difficult to just tell me if they CAN or CANNOT ship them by thursday. The fact is, I didnt hear anything from them till now.
 
So what was their reply? Did they refund your money? Because they should refund your money. And never give you business. Even I'm not NEARLY that pushy. Chill.
 
Not to be an ass about it, but if i received that many messages from you in that short of a time frame, my only reply to you would be to shop somewhere else. Courtesy is a two way street. That many messages in that short of a time is not being courteous, its being demanding.

I'm not sticking up for them in any way either, because they obviously have some issues they need to deal with. But I can see a lot of fault on your end in this deal as well.
 
Di, I don't know how you made payment but have you checked to see if a reversal (refund), of your payment, has been made without Snakes at Sunset having let you know?
 
First of all, you are dealing with a live animal. Did it ever occur to you that maybe the weather or other circumstances may not be right for shipping? If you needed the animal by the weekend, you should have planned ahead or paid a probable higher price for a less than stellar animal from your local pet store. If you really needed to talk to someone there, a quick google search would have given you the phone number to the business.

This is spot on. The OP sent emails like an obnoxious ex sends texts. We can't just assume that they sit in front of their computer waiting for emails, or that they were ignoring them. I think they probably should have responded in some manner on Friday, but most likely they are just showing each other the crazy emails and laughing.

The lesson to be reminded of here is that one should never be an impulsive buyer when it comes to animals. Even if you wanted the shipment to arrive a day before someone's birthday, the details should be worked out weeks in advance.
 
Do we know for sure that they charged the account? I know that when I worked for a reptile shop, the website would complete the gathering of the information, but orders needed to be manually charged. Just because someone felt like they completed a purchase on the site, didn't mean their card had been charged.
 
Thats why I state the communication is bad. Showing each other the crazy emails and laughing is not a good attitude to treat their customer.:NoNo::NoNo:
Well emailing 10 times in three hours or whatever the number was is not a good attitude to treat an employee or someone that you're trying to buy a live animal from.
 
In their first message to you, they specifically stated they could ship on Monday. This tells me they were not prepared to ship before then.

So thats why I need to discuss with them to maybe come up with some solutions. But they seems not willing to talk at all. It is the reason why I state the communication is BAD!:shrug01::shrug01:
