In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello evryone,
I just found out that I am about to inherate a 55+ glass tank!! So I decided when/if I get it I'll put Big Chief, my kahl albino het snow in it! He is my favorite, and my most sweet, most attractive, and he loves attention. Now enough of my proud mamma spewing! My question is can anyone help me with how to design/pimp his tank for him!? Is there a site I can go to for insperation? Or perhaps you could show me pics of your tanks? I currently keep my boas in tubs, so I never had to really pimp a tank. Let me say thank you to all that read this. I don't think this is an easy request.

Once again thank you,
Betty Mae

One of my favorite things to do with display tanks is put aquarium backing behind the back glass, gives it more depth and just looks really nice. Here's a shot of that backing in one of my ATB's tanks as an example (in this example, the background is taped to the inside of the opaque plastic cage):

I'd also suggest going for natural looking decorations, like a nice log and a rock type water bowl and fake plants. Albinos look cool against all that fake greenery. Just remember, boas are heavy bodied so sometimes they trash the decorations a bit. Also, the 55 gallon will probably only work for a short period of time, not really big enough for an adult boa (of course, depends on the size of your snake..).
Good luck, I hope you will share the final outcome of how you set it up!

Thank you for your reply. I can't believe how hard it is to find pics of a decent RTB display tank! I see cages by design saying boa tank but there is an iguana in the tank, so I don't know how reliable it is!! I just want a sweet looking tank set up for my big male albino RTB.

Aquarium backing is a great choice. Your local fish store should have everything from nature shots to dark solid colors to gradients, so you can choose whatever shows your snake off the best.

Your inside decor choice will be a balancing act between looks and cleaning difficulty. April's pictured tank is a well-done compromise, as it does not have so many decorations that it becomes prohibitively hard to clean.

Make sure to check out craft stores for fake plants, at certain times of year they have unbelievable sales.

Good luck,
