hi, my checkered garters just went off feed about 2 weeks ago. they're kept in my living room at 68-75 degrees. is that cold enough for them to initiate hybernation or should i assume something else caused the lack of intrest in food? the checkereds are the olny ones doing this, but they're also the only adult garters i currently own. if they are in fact going into hybernation, do i need to cool them down more, and for how long? i'd appreciate if someone could supply me with the information as i am new to snake-keeping and want to do the right thing for the animals.
thanks
tina
