In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I feel so bad.

I was checking eggs today for babys,as i pulled the top rack out,the shelf came out and hit the floor.I hope i do not lose any of those eggs. There were 87 eggs on the top rack.It looks like most should be fine,i pack the eggs in tight.I feel sick. There was Bells, het Bells,TremperxBells,Rainwater, ghost, ghostxbells, ghostxpatternless and a few more. :hot:

oh man jodi, that really sucks, hopefully they all still hatch, the vermiculite/perlite should have cutioned them, no?

Yikes, sorry to hear that Jodi. I hope they all still hatch for you without any defect or injury....

Man that stinks, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you, I hope they will be ok.

Jodi,

I am sorry to hear that my friend...Best of luck to your eggs and please let us know how they fare.

Jodi that sucks, hope they will be Ok for you. I have 3 in the incubator that my almost 3 year old tossed around, I was getting them out of the lay box (2 females had laid the same night) and when I picked up the first egg and marked it Emily grabbed the lay box and dumped it on the floor. So I had no idea which way was up, I candled the one I had marked and the "red dot" was on the side so I put the other 3 in the same position. They were laid 03/24 and look to be developing fine but we won't know for sure for a few more weeks.

I bet yours will be fine!!

My incubator last year took alot of beating from my baby brother last year. It was kicked, shook... all that.

All my eggs hatched. None of the little embroyeos (sp) died.

Sorry to hear that though. Don't feel bad.

Hey sorry to hear that Jodi! I hope you had marks on them to show which way was up? Hmmmm I don't do that but I guess I should at least make some sort of mark, just in-case.....I think I will....Thanks!!!

encouragement

Jodi, a few years ago my husband accidently flipped over an hovabator that was full of about 40 eggs... and every one of them hatched! We'll keep our fingers crossed yours will, too.

BTW - how do you "accidently" flip over a hovibator?

Sounds like there is some latent "gecko-anger" involved. Give me a call - I do counseling, you know.

LOL.

That's an amazing story Marcia!!!!

You may be on to something, Overton.

Dooohh!! Cerebral Flatuence or Freudian slip???

Man, sorry to hear that Jodi. Don’t be too hard on yourself because most of us have done something like that. Let us know how they turn out.

Thank you all for your kind words. The sad thing is i do not put a mark on the eggs. The nice thing is the cups were only messed up for a min. or two.I will keep you all updated on them.

Witeleo,You said dont feel bad.How am i going to do that?I have eggs in there that, this is the first time they were ever produced.I may have some very cool geckos in there, and if not they still are a live gecko. I take pride in what i do.And if i F up of cours i am going to feel bad.Sorry if this sounds harsh, but i am still very upset with myself.

Jodi, of course you feel like kicking yourself. We're here to help you move on cause thats all you can do at this point. If hearing about the idiot things I have done will help, just let me know! I try to learn as much as I can from an accident, and make sure it only ever happens once. Thats the only way I can forgive myself and move on vs. jumping off a bridge.

Sorry.

I was trying to let you know that these eggs can take alot of crap.

With knowing that, you know they still have a good chance at hatching. Even if you still feel bad about the little guys fall, you should feel a little bit better knowing they have a good chance.

i dont think u should worry too much

i dont think u should worry too much jodi...ive had similar experiences with both snake and gecko eggs. the worst thing thats ever happened to me was a few years back i had a container of 20 or so nephrurus eggs incubating and a friend accidentally knocked them to the ground! most of the eggs tumbled 5+ times, even though i was pissed, i just oriented them back the best i could and hoped for the best...needless to say all the fertile eggs did hatch
good luck to u,

-jon
