    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I guess this is an update...

Well I have been a member here for a few years now but I been in and out do to personal drama and just plain life. I ended losing my boas due to extermination chemicals, which caused crystal formation or something like that in their liver. No they were not in the apartment when the exterminator was there. In fact the exterminator had been there approximately a week before we moved in, we were never told. This was all told to me after the necropsy on my Albino Red Tail Boa, Big Chief. That was about 3 years ago. After I lost my collection, I didn't want to own reptiles again. I felt like it was my fault, etc etc etc (I was also battling depression), then my daughter's heart murmur was getting worse with a flair up of Kawasaki's, they cut hours at work and Daddy had a stroke. Yeah life was horrible.

Then I rescued a Dumril Boa and an Albino Burmese Python. I love albino, and always wanted a Burm but their sheer power scares me. I'm 5"1' and I can't do a single push up, I'm fully aware a Burm can over power me. I didn't want them, I was scared of the Albino and I didn't want to keep reptiles again. When I saw them I knew I had to help. The Burm was 4 years old and only 9 feet and about as fat as a soda can. I named her 'Vette. 'Vette was in a 55gal aquarium, cramped and tiny. She had a full wire top with no latches just books to hold it down. The Dums was spoiled. She had a 6 foot by two foot by two foot acrylic tank, former fish tank from pet store display. It had screen over the top holes and held with bricks. She was fat and healthy. The first thing I did was sanitized, disinfect the tanks and switched them. 'Vette into the 6 footer with twenty gallon tanks full rocks, over the holes so she couldn't move them. Hell I could barely move them. the Dums into the 55, cramped but the Burm could finally stretch. I rehabilitated the Burm and found them both new homes.

Sooooooo all this bad emotional was happening but then the good hit! I went back to my home town for a visit, and ran into my brothers best friend. Shane. I hadn't seen him in close to 20 years. My brother Russell had passed away when he was 17. He was 10 older than me but I was the baby, I got away with everything. Even calling his best friend Shane my boyfriend and telling him I was going to marry him one day ( I was 3)! 26 years later... we were married LOL I had a head trauma when I was younger, which causes a horrible memory so Shane decided when we would get married... We were married 12/12/12, in the 12th hour, 12 miles from our home town. No way I can forget that! We got pregnant right away and now have a happy, healthy baby boy named Russell. Kyrah and Shane are inseparable. Last December we finally got her into UCSF where they plugged her heart murmur and cleared her heart of any damage from Kawasaki's.

Shane isn't much of a snake person but when I told him I wanted to get back into collecting snakes we compromised on BP's. But we are a long way from purchasing animals.

Shane has also been pushing me to so what I love, work wise. After 10 years of being in human healthcare, I'm waiting on a call back from a local vet on a possible vet tech training internship. If that don't work I think I'll hit up Pennfoster on there classes for vet tech.

Daddy is now in a LTC facility and getting the care he needs. He loves the baby and eats everything Kyrah cooks him (which isn't good for his diabetes, but his grandbaby made it)!

And that's the last couple years in a nutshell. I have to say I love my life. I love my family. My life is truly looking up! If you read the update this far, I just want to say thank you.
