    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I think your mom could really use the money.  And I know you need money for your hospital bills.  How about it?  I really can't see any ligit. excuses for you to not do this.  If you have the animals, take the pics with you in them, and you'll get paid for your time, and prove all of us wrong.  That would be worth a lot more than $20 to you I would think.....

I think in the photos, a piece of paper with Pat's name written on it in big letters should be next to the snakes.  This way, everybody can be sure that the photos weren't just stolen from somewhere.

I believe some simple questions and requests were made of you that would clear you of any misunderstandings.  If you can, simply answer them and be done with it.  If you can't then you can't blame being banned from this site as the reason you could not respond to them.

Pat, you don't get it.  Most, if not ALL photo developing places offer to put the photos on CD.  At Target, I think it is $13 for a set of prints, and a photo CD.

$7 camera,
+ $13 development onto CD
=$20.

You don't need a scanner.

And now, if I'm not mistaken, you have offers to reimburse for the cost of film and developing, PLUS $40.

The great thing about being a kid is that you're supposed to make some stupid mistakes along the way.  You've lied and been caught.  Simple enough.  The cool thing for you is that if you'll just take care of the animals you currently have (or don't have, as the case may be) for seven or eight years, you can then come back to the buying/selling arena as an adult, have some real experience in breeding and husbandry practices, and have given yourself some much needed credibility.  

All in all, it's not a bad deal for you.  Just take that first small step toward maturity by removing yourself from the fray and slipping off into obscurity for a while.  There'll be deals to be made when you're old enough, mature enough, experienced enough, AND honest enough to fulfill your end of them.

First, correct me if I'm wrong, but I *thought* you were supposed to be in Illinois, so where does Ohio play into it?  Next, why can't you provide this person's name?  If they are a real person and if you are indeed sharing a table, I'm sure someone who frequents Lee's show would be familiar with them.  There have been a number of people who've said they frequent that show, BTW.  Is that why you don't want to provide a name, because someone might just check it out?  Lastly, the Webslave has already stated he's not banning you so that you can't use that excuse to say you couldn't post in your defense.  In fact, it's in the post just above yours.

After all this, you still think you're being bashed, yet you can't see that you brought it on yourself.  The truth is so much simpler than lies.  It's so much easier to keep straight as well.  You should try it sometime, you might like it.

Read a bit more slowly, taking breaks after each sentence. Take time to comprehend what's been said to you.

$7 camera and $13 film processing. There is no need whatsoever for a scanner, as KMart, Walmart, and Target all offer the option to either have pics placed on a photo cd or online. Once again, this is a reimbursable expense. That's right- you'd receive that money back, in addition to the extra $20 that I'm offering. Hell, I'll even up it to an additional $40. That means you'll have made a quick $60 profit from myself and Ritchie. If you prove us wrong, we'll even through in a couple of public apologies at no extra charge.

However, I like Audrina's idea. The pics should be of each snake next to an identifying piece of paper.

I'll even go a step farther on the issue of the axanthic ball- I won't even decide if it is axanthic or not. Instead, I'll forward the pics to two impartial third parties (VPI & NERD), asking their opinions. If they say he's an axanthic, then I'll accept that he is, regardless of what I may or may not have thought.

Now then, you have no excuse why you can't post pics of your adult snow boa and adult axanthic ball python. On the contrary, you should have more than enough incentive. Remember though, this is an "all or nothing" offer. A pic of each snake with an identifying piece of paper gets you sixty bucks.

What a coincidence! I just happen to be from "this area", and attend the All-Ohio Show. By another strange twist, I happen to know many of the vendors there. Heck, even if I haven't heard of this person, I'm sure that Joe or Don has. Since I'll be spending a good deal of time with them at this month's show, perhaps I can query them about this person...what was his name again?

Hey all, I havnt had a chance to read all this and laugh yet as the link was just emailed to me but Nov. 17th I will be at Lee Watsons show, I read something about money for a camera, Pat if ya aint got it cool, bring these guys to the show and ill verify to everyone for you, alot of these guys involved in these threads know me and know ill tell them how it is "if" you actually have the animals you say, also I read some of your posts earlier and you talked like you were a regular at the show, so heres your chance bud, if your all honest like you try and say you are, your not going to get any #### from me, I rember what it was lke to be 14 and ripped off and pushed around, also at the show you may see a 15yr old working my stand, hes a local kid that was being ripped off by the other guys around that have snakes, his parents are disabled and cant take him to shows so we take him to all the shows we attend because hes an honest kid thats into it for the right reasons, the animals, so heres your chance to prove yourself, in the meantime I am going to start reading some of this thread as I need a good laugh, let me know if youll be there with you animals
 
Okay Pat, there's yet another way for you to prove everyone wrong. Jason's quite trustwirthy, and I'll take his word on if he see's a snow & axanthic or not. Also, I believe Evan will be there as well. If either one of these two verifies that you have an adult snow boa and adult axanthic ball (not a normal), I'll still pay the $40 that I said I'd offer for pics.

That should pretty much put all of the excuses to rest.

But otherwise i have no problems, with proving all of you wrong but one may have RPI now as a ball i got there died late last night so i do not want to contaminate the show, so ill wait out side for you and then buy what i need and talk to some people and then leave.

The snow boa, which you earlier stated was purchased by your aunt in 1999 has changed to a baby now. Intereting, this may be the first case of reverse aging that I've ever heard of. Perhaps you should write a paper and submit it to Copeia. A bit of friendly advice though- get someone to proofread it first...lol

The axanthic ball was "just now proven" 48 hours ago, and is now a hatchling as well? Suspicious that you're trying to get someone to loan you a female to breed to your hatchling male, don't you think?

I'm still wondering who this individual is that "everyone has dealth with". Surely, I've heard of him. And if I didn't then Joe and Don certainly must have.

I'm telling you, man.  Just leave it alone and let all this blow over.  In a few years, when you're an adult, you'll be able to laugh about all this with us.  If you don't leave it alone, and you come back with some lame excuses as to why you didn't produce these animals, that it is becoming more and more apparent you DON'T have, you're just going to look like a complete idiot and a scammer.

You can't win this one, pal, but you sure can lose!  Big time!  Sometimes, not losing your reputation IS winning.  Remember I told you so, if you decide to blow it all away in a lame attempt to save face now that you're obviously caught.

I think it's too late for him to save face and come back in 5 years....  I think if he can prove us all wrong, he should obviously do it.  But, we all know he can't because he's a liar.  Also, if he comes back in 5 years, I won't foget about him, and I know others also won't.  And, I seriously doubt he'll ever be able to do anything to prove to me at least that he's changed.  I've seen it too many times by people my age.  

BTW...  I think we should all congratulate him on having about the largest thread ever on the "general business forum."  Good job Patrick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
