    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I have known Pat and his family for at least 20 yrs i have been there since he was born and way before that..now with that said he is the only kid who is willing to trust almost anyone and help anyone that he can he also is willing to give his time away......Now a female albino isn't expensive and if he is as smart as he is he would have somthing in writing for both of you so if anything happens he isn't held responsible hes not stupid just really in a hurry and will jump to get more snakes and or cages......now i have very bad news he was cleaning his redtails he has about 3 or 4 well...anyone he was feeding one and well..........hes now in a hospital with bruised ribs, and blood in his lungs so any and all his deals are on hold he "DIDN"T" ask me to do this i did this as i feel that i have in a way help cause this just like all of you did....Neil i hate imagies!! Please don't do that again.

I also had alot of trouble following that post.....
But, from what I gathered.....  One of his redtails got him, and he's now in the hospital?  Hmm....  Well, I first didn't believe he bred African Rocks (and still don't).  And, I hate to sound un-sympathetic...  But, this is exactly why.  For one, I didn't believe any parents would let a 12 year old own a snake like that.  If he's in the hospital because of a red tail, just imagine what a rock could do.  For him to get that injured, I'm guessing he must have been cleaning the cage alone.  Not a good practice with large boids.  Now, did he handle and clean the Rocks on his own as well?  ....If he did, he's lucky he's in the hospital now, and not in a casket when he was....12.  Part of the reason I didn't believe that he bred rocks was that I didn't believe any caring parents would let their 12 year old own a snake that could VERY EASILY END THEM!  Not harm or maim, but END him.  I'm not trying to sound judgemental here, but if he was telling the truth....  well, I think some things need to be rethought in that household....  I certainly hope this incident will change something.

Heck, from your post, I don't even know what happened exactly....  So, if I'm wrong, sorry.  You might post again and read your post before you hit "add reply" so we can all understand what you're trying to say.  Some details as to what happened would also be nice...  I do hope he's ok.

Two reasons why you won't see this no matter what!
1.  In Aurora its illegal to sell pythons and boas and this would be one more thing on them.
2.  This is Aurora the only people in the headlines (no offense) are the ones who where murdered.
Also why should "we" continue to feed PETA with ammo?

She is slightly disturbed and attacks everything esp. in feeding to add to that she only eats live white rabbits for some reason.

You complain that people are abusing you because you're young and they can't see that you're capable of professional dealings and breeding projects generally undertaken by individuals with a strong understanding and a good deal of experience... I agree, however, hes 14 and at this point and time has more to worry about then how hes typing, first off I would really liek to see any of you be 14 and deal with your great grandma, your aunt, and your gandma with your grandpa in the hospital for kidney problems so......when you start to become depressed as everytime someone call you its not to chat but to tell you another person in your family has died...how many of you would still be here?? Or for that matter still care about whether you live or die?? So i think you cut him some fu**ing slack before he does kill himslef over something so stuipd and its all because a "few" adults are all now feelinmg better about there own problems and can take it out on whoever where ever...Now hes act. quite strn\ong and if he wanted to he could have taken her off him but...with no reason to live i guess it was his way to die but thanks to his dad coming down the stairs he didn't get his wish after he has healed he has to go get some tests done..so either way you won't be hearing form him...i think that his parents are selling his "reptile stuff" to help pay for everything....i am going to go to bed as i have to go to Lees tommorow and have to wake up.....i have somethings to sell and trade anyone want to meet me there go right ahead don't be surprised tho....

That in time will make him stronger as long as he gets over it but thats another story...hope they all get taken?? Do you know what they'll do to thos poor snakes?? Even those little coastals?? Also i think that he wouldn't want it to make the papers, besides no one in Aurora cares really all that much...well there goes one less future drug dealer is pretty much for the most part how they think, i don't know as i moved here and was treated the same until His parents got divorced and his dads in aurora and his moms in yorkville.

As i seem to be the only person on this board that has ever done business with him you wouldn't know or even begin to understand how he thinks and acts.............

What does ANY of that have to do with his making a ridiculous request and his rejection of competent advice on how to conduct himself?

All you have done with this poorly communicated list of sob story background is re-enforce the fact that this  kid is incompetent  and shouldn't have ANY live animals, much less be considering breeding them.

He's dumb enough to write what he did originally...

He's even dumber when he decides to try his "I'm taking my ball and going home" tactic to try and get some sort of apology...

He's apparantly too depressed to pay attention to his animals properly by your own statements which would indicate to me that they aren't getting the care they need and should be confiscated immediately.

He's in the hospital... Which is pretty convienient since he essentially told everyone that he didn't care about undertaking a breeding project correctly but just wanted animals for free... It's amazing how all this  suddenly appears and just keeps getting worse when there's no  enormous outpouring of sympathy  that causes retractions for statements already made...

If you're telling the truth... (the longer you go adding to it, the less likely that seems) then it's a shame certainly...  But I fail to see how events of this nature should have any effect on the statements already made concerning his conduct. I'm not a cold hearted monster but I'm not about to change my views because someone has a problem all of a sudden, I'm an equal oppurtunity source of critisism when I feel someone is acting like a damn fool.

He  wanted to be treated as an adult. He was. He complained about it. Now you're complaining about it as well, "He's only fourteen" Seems to be a bit of an oversight there...

He's been attacked by a snake he kept in captivity. If he is hospitalized, there is a record of that- You're trying to tell me  as sensationalistic as the media is in the United  States that a fourteen year old who gets hospitalized by his pet isn't going to show up on my television or in my newspaper?! All that says to me is that it never happened because there's no  way in hell the press would stay silent on a matter of that nature. It's public interest, the type that "everyone loves" because it's easy for most people to dislike a snake.  So frankly, that backpeddling nature you took on when it was  mentioned that it would show up in the news just convinces  me that you're lying.

If this kid is that depressed and heartbroken and torn up inside, he shouldn't be responsible for the care of live animals.  

If he's going to go off the deep  end because of a message board response that was realistic, he shouldn't be allowed sharp objects and needs 24 hour mental health supervision.

Nothing you have said is a reasonable excuse for his attitude, ethics or lack of knowledge. He's fourteen, he's unable to care for the animals because of circumstances in his life... he doesn't have animals. Blind people don't drive cars, it's the same situation.

I think just to close this off a bit I'll bring forth words that  came to me... In a movie I think, couldn't tell  you which one though...

Suck it up. Poorly worded and ever changing sob  stories don't hold much weight with me and I'm not about to take back my original statements. I meant every one of them and continue to stand behind what I have said here (except the 1/4 thing, That was an oversight on my part) regardless of what nonsense with no relevance to the topic you may bring forth.

Although this has nothing to do with the main topic, it has casted some doubts with regards to the credibility of what you have said before. What were you trying to say in Spanish with the statement in the quote? Could you translate it for me?

Because as it reads the English version is: "Shut up his happy, and a prostitute".

But the question in the quote has to do with the topic. It was posted right after Patrick's first post, and was never answered.

If he was serious about asking someone to loan him an adult female albino, he should have provided the origin of his axhantic. At least I would have liked to hear something like "I have an adult axhantic with paperwork bought from "X" breeder". He was asking someone to loan him a $4,000 plus female albino under the assumption that he owned a $7,000+ axhantic. There have been dozens of adult "axhantics" offered for sale during the last year. Most of them unproven, some of them obviously not axhantics.

Were you expecting everyone to apologize and take back everything they said after you told us that Patrick is having some problems?  Every single one of my grandparents died between 14 and 16.  When it happened, it didn't really effect too much in my life.  I think he should be greatful that he still has any left.  I agree that it's not something that is easy to deal with.  But, many people have much worse stories.  People lose brothers, sisters, parents, close friends....  Death is part of life.  Stress is part of life.  Everyone here could tell everyone else here all the poopy stuff that's happened in their life up to this point.  Sh!t happens.  If you can't deal with it, you can't deal with life.  Like Seamus said, I really don't understand the realavence of what you've been saying. IMO, Patrick maybe needs some counseling to help him learn to deal with reality and the problems that life continually throws at you.  I think that he is looking for acceptance and is making up stories here to make himself look like a big experienced reptile breeder.  I think that when everyone didn't buy his stories, he was shocked and he probably doesn't deal too well with rejection.  If you know him personally, maybe you should talk to him or his parents and try to get him some help.  I'm not really in a position to make this kind of a judgment, and I obviously don't have the background to make it.  But, I'm just calling it as I see it.  Take my opinion for what it's worth.  

I also would like to hear some background on this fabled "axhantic."
