    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I Hate Them!!!!!!!!!!

No see I don't mind 4 or less, it's when you get more than 4 that starts getting creepy... I can even do 6, but 8 or more and i'm running for the hills... kinda sad actually seeing as how my fear is complete irrational.

LOL Brian...I think you've missed the point. All arthropods (insects, spiders, etc) have at LEAST 6 legs. No such thing as a 4 legged insect unless you take 2 off. Technically speaking worms don't count....but they aren't scary to begin with.

I tend to not like them on a case by case basis. If it's a roach or house centipede, I can act quite girly. But, I've recieve quite a number of odd looks by rescuing a daddy long leg from getting squished by scooping it up. FYI - I handle all the food bugs here with tongs LOL. I'll pick them up by hand if needed, but I'd usually rather not. I'm quite handy with a pair of tongs!

lol. I handle all the food with my hands. does not bother me a bit. At first the superworms were weird for me but I got over it pretty quick.

You should have seen me picking me picking up my first superworm...with tongs even. I was a major baby about it...I jumped a few times before I finally got it. Who knew that getting into leos would bring me through the process of crickets (which I hate, but for other reasons), to mealworms (easy), to also keeping superworms and roaches in my house! Besides you guys I mean! Prior to leos, I only got crickets for my frogs...it never crossed my mind there might be other feeder bugs!

The only bugs I've ever been afraid of were centipedes. I usually get house centipedes in our basement, and I was deathly afraid of those until I started catching them in jars and looking at them up close. I've also become quite good at catching escape crickets that manage to get loose.
