    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I need some advise!

I bought a female baby burmese a week ago! When i got it it was very nippy and hissing all the time, But now when i go and reach for her, She hiss a little but hardly strikes like she did few days after i got her, Despited her jaw problem i notice she do got a little beathen problem and snot comes out her noise i forgot how you actually spell the word for it, But besides all that which ima take her to the vet in couple of weeks when i have time, When i go and grab her with my gloves she dont strike but hiss alot at first, How long will it take now for her to be very tame and Docile? Where she can be handle like my other snakes and handle by other people without the worry of her possible biteing,

You'll take her to the vet in a few weeks, when you have time?

With all due respect, I'd like to ask you a question about your research and how much you read about the pets you own. I question one of your previous posts about the Western Diamondback where you said you heard they weren't deadly. Your post asking about anacondas where it seems you hadn't read up very much at all.

Don't get me wrong, this site is a treasure of information and many people here love to help others, but your posts sometimes seem almost too naive.

Common sense would tell almost anyone that when a snake or anything else alive is having a breathing problem, you don't have a couple of weeks to wait.

Do you in fact have snakes?

If he's not a kid yanking chains , then he is everything that is wrong with a keeper. He has more health problems with his animals than all the vets in Atlanta can help with.

I aint no kid and ima be going to a vet on couple of days anyway in doughlasville, But all and all shes is real healthy, i just notice that she just hissing, my mistake of thinkin she got a beathen problem, And i aint got no damn health problems with any of my snakes, I get my pets from the best reptile breeder there is, 50 years old spent most of his life breeding and taking care of snake that he got.

It sounds to me like you should look into who your purchase your animals from. It might just be a small Respiratory Infection due to low temperatures, but I would get her to the vet as soon as I can. I've seen RI's go downhill fast. And as far as my knowledge and experience goes, Burms are usually "hissy" snakes. Not necessarily aggressive, but more vocal.

Yea they are hissy which i might be mistaken her hissing to a beathen problem, Couse when i do hold her she dont beathe real havy. So i might be mistaken it, Shes not strikeing at much as she first used to, Thats a good sign of getting tame, Or hissing as much for that matter, 10 Years ago we had a burmese python that grown up to 15 foot, So i know alot more about burms then really anything else,

Judging by your past threads and posts , you knowing much about reptiles is highly debatable.

possible ri should be treated at the first signs. waiting a few days or weeks could prove to be fatal. do not take this lightlly or hesitate. have your snake treated promptly if you truly care for it. :shrug01:
