    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If you check the RTB thread, you will see that she DID take, and LOST the litter around 105 POS... Just disappeared without a trace.... Check the first page, at the bottom of the 2nd thread, there are 2 links, the first link shows her HUGE and gravid, and the second link explains that she lost the litter.
 
Also, Ians initial email said she was 7.5 ft, yeah. Ians ad said she is 7 ft. She was also 25 lbs, and then 20.
I wonder what could have possibly happened to make someone who thinks a snake is gravid, to knowing she isn't gravid in a matter of days, and the snake drops 5 lbs..hmmm...kinda makes ya think.
As Joe said, the thread shows that she didn't just not take. She went through all of the motions, ovulation, POS, massive swelling, the whole deal, and she did the same thing last year too. If you wanna place your bets on that snake being a good breeder, by all means, give it a shot. I wont, and I wouldn't suggest that anyone buy her if they if they are looking to produce babies any time soon.
 
My Good Experiences With Ian

To Dave and Joe-
Yah I read most of this thread and got really bored of how you guys were trying to trash Ian's reputation from a mere speculation- you guys and am really pointing my finger at Dave should settle down and not trash on anyone who writes something good about Ian. You do have a point in saying that a few good reports about Ian cannot make up for a bad deal. But you also must take into consideration that Ian is a resaler- I go through him because I know he will find the best quality and the most beautiful animals- and I am happy to pay a higher price because Ian (like me and everyone else) is a business man- he has to make his money. But Ian always does alittle extra (atleast in my dealings with him and from what I have read many others) he packages the animals with extreme care for the animal- doesn't try and cut corners to save a buck- he checks up on the animals- he does everything in a timely manner- he makes sure you are completely satisfied with the deal.
It sounds to me like you guys are pissed for really no good reason- I doubt Ian really knew the full history of this animal- he may have tried to breed it- and I bet he did buy it cheap and resale it for more (he's a resaler). He did inform you about the breeding of the albino male- you should have turned your sights in another direction- He refunded your money but you guys kept pushin for this animal. I can tell you this- if you are working with a new high end boa gene- why are you pushing it and trying to cut corners by buying a mature animal that wouldn't even be quarenteened before breeding- have you not heard of IBD- your best bet would have been to buy some top notch normal females and hypo females (Ian can find the best for you) wait the two to three years (with them in quarenteen) and then breed this new morph- don't rush it-
I can say this from experience- I was rushing my true redtail projects and wasn't quarenteening things like I should- I am quite possibly paying the price.
I am awaiting lab results and probably will not know how bad I have affected my colony for 3 years.
Good luck to you guys on your project- and please next time handle this kind of dispute inhouse- between you, Ian, and Loco. If it doesn't get resolved that way- then you post it.
If I ever have a problem I always try to handle it like a mature business man- the dispute is between me and the seller/buyer- I try everything to keep it that way- and I always inform them of the actions that I will take against them and give a timely deadline of 3 to 7 business days before I star reporting anybody. Guess what??? All the issues I have had in the past have been resolved inhouse- and I am happy

ian's silence lends credence to the theory that he has NOT been truthful, which is BAD, very very BAD.
 
I did not overlook it - I just don't think he lied or mislead anyone- there seems to be a few e-mails missing- those might explain where Ian spoke of this breeding or he quite possibly did it over the phone- Maybe he did lie- but I don't think so- I have no problem doing business with him in the future- I only posted because I thought it relavant to say something about all this trashing going on- seems maturity has escaped a few of you. Everyone take a deep breath it really isn't that big of a deal- now someone knowingly selling you a diseased or exposed snake- that's a big deal- someone ripping you off that's a big deal. Speculation over knowing it has breed or not- hey that's just what it is speculation---
I don't know how many adds I see for colubrids that are "ready to breed" "brumated"- you know some of them are and some are not and even if they are their window may already be done- think of it like this- who in their right mind would try and sell a female snake during breeding season- why not keep it until she drops- feed it a few times and send her on her way. I know there are a few quirky instances where you might want to sell her- but generaly you don't so there is an implied risk when purchaseing ANY mature female during breeding season. Well that's the way I have looked at it.

I firmly believe that there are a FEW emails missing somewhere.
I, myself, will continue to buy animals from Ian purely because how he has treated me and the animals I have bought in the past.

I agree that Ian's defenders should feel free to come here and praise him. The problem, to me, is still Ian's absence.

Ian, if there are missing e-mails or other communications, and maybe there are, then come here and tell us about them. Post them. You already lost one potentially large sale over this. I would think by now you would have seen the sense in speaking up for yourself.

By the way, and not to take this off topic too much, but Jered, you just signed up at this site on 5/9/2005, two days after this thread started. And you have posted exactly three times, all in this thread, strongly defending Ian. I'm not accusing you of anything, just making an observation.

I would have given my apologies and realized the whole situation was a misunderstanding IF Ian would have come on and explained a little more about the story, and possibly called out Mark from Loco Lizards.. The ONE email I believe is missing is a response from Ian about my problem with paypal... I believe it went something like this... "Ok, we'll see what happens".... In the first deal with Ian, when he was holding my deposit, I found out she might be gravid and due in a month, so I sent ALL of the important emails between the deal to myself (because all of my "Old" mail gets deleted, and my sent mail stays around longer), so I wouldn't have a problem getting my refund... If you believe there are MISSING Emails, why don't you ask Ian to post them?? I'm not hiding anything, I've given ALL of the information about the deal... If you think there are blanks, have IAN try to fill them in.

Davey wasn't BROUGHT here by me for defense... Davey is a PART of the deal.... Davey has been kept up to speed with ALL of the emails and phone conversations from the START... There is no prompting going on, Davey knows as much as I do... I thought I cleared this up a few pages ago.
