Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

In other words, you and assorted others are trying to put the hush on until a spin is figured out. That doesn't wash here, and good luck trying to write a gag order on the BOI.

People are screaming because of Ian's non-handling if this. Whether 'on duty' or 'off duty', his behavior reflects on KHS. They should suspend his official involvement with them until this is resolved.
 
I'm not trying to put a hush on anything, don't even try to question my character, you don't know me. Take your personal attacks elsewhere. I simply stated that the issue is out of the hands of the KHS and hope that everyone isn't going to judge the KHS regardless of the outcome of their personal issue.
 
I actually talked to Ian earlier today on the phone, and I told him it didn't look good because he didn't address this publicly, and he told me that's what his lawyer advised him to do.
 
I will definitely look DOWN on the KHS if this guy is appointed VP when he cant even handle PERSONAL matters appropriately. But he is supposed to represent the herp community via your favorite herp society? LOVELY!!! Cant wait to see that! /sarcasm. I think many others here agree with that sentiment. Your favorite herp society looks kinda bad by not putting the pressure on its own member to DO the RIGHT thing.
 
Seems like they've got a crook among their leadership. He should be suspended pending outcome of said investigation. Longer JHS ignores that simple truth, worse they look.
 
But the thing is that it isn't a KHS matter, he may be a member, but this happened outside of the club, and their transaction had nothing to do with the KHS. He's handling it via legal means, and having not witnessed their transactions, I can't judge one way or another, all I can do is have an opinion, which doesn't help or change anything. I'm just saying we should allow it to be handled however they intend to do so.
 
If Ian is in the wrong, the law will dictate what needs to be done, and I'm sure the KHS will act accordingly. If he's in the right, then this is a non matter.

Lawyers don't "mediate", they go to bat for the person who pays them. Also a lawyer isn't "the law" and don't give a rat's behind about the truth. Lastly, Ian brought the khs into this.

This is exactly correct. He tried to throw several members "Friends" under the bus and now it is being said it is NOT a KHS matter? Whaaaatever. The fact that several members involved are part of the KHS MAKES it a KHS matter. Those people represent this herp society. Like it or not. And the fact that the potential VP of the society is the person being brought to light in this issue... I THINK that is a pretty blatant point to consider.
 
Like I said, he is a representative of the group. Listen, if any officer of any public organization had such an issue brought up, they'd be suspended, no? What if somebody on the Board of a non-profit was accused of theft?

Seems they'd want to distance themselves from this, not by ignoring it, but be suspending him. They're complicit, as far as I am concerned.

Why does he need a lawyer? So he can feel better about this theft?
 
If anyone honestly thinks Ian has an attorney at this point, I have some farmland in Florida I'd love to sell you. Ian does not have anyone's mailing address.....how is he going to have his alleged lawyer "mail them" notification of his/her involvement? Why will he not provide the name or contact info of his alleged lawyer?

He is following the scammer/thief/scumbag textbook to a perfect 'T'......ignoring, shifting blame, lying, bringing other people into his wheelhouse, making them look bad, claims about lawyers, deaths in the family.....I mean come on, this sounds and looks utterly ridiculous. Nobody with half a brain believes him.
 
I get that he's a member, and by affiliation, some people are wanting to claim the KHS is taking his side. That's not the case, the KHS is trying to stay out of it, hence deletions of posts, etc... I'm not the one deleting posts, but I concur that it's in the best interest of the club to allow them to resolve it their own way without our intervention. I am an officer of the KHS, but as I've said, I wasn't there, I didn't witness it, it's not my place to say either way. People are judging based on opinions, instead of fact, nobody knows what happened other than Sarah and Ian. Regardless of who pays the lawyer, if it's brought to court, they make a solemn vow to speak the truth. I'm just watching to see how it works out. Because he called on friends that are in the KHS makes it a KHS matter? Unless the KHS specifically states that it/we are involved, then it's an outside matter.
 
Lack of admission to involvement is not equivalent to lack of involvement. Statement of non-involvement is not equivalent to lack of involvement.
