In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anybody dealt with them? Website looks good just havn't heard much about them. I'm trading some morphs for different hets.

I have not heard of or dealt with them, but one thing that would concern me is with such a large scale operation (2,500 eggs for '08), why isn't there a name anywhere on the website? Who is/are the breeder(s). I personally don't know of anyone who has a company such as this that wants no credit for what is produced (let me know if the name is located in a hidden place or something...I couldn't find it).

I would personally hold off on any deal until I had good references on them from some long established names in the hobby. Without references, I'd need to see the snakes in person or have dated photos of the parents of said hets w/ the breeder and a copy of this person's ID to verify he/she at least has the ingredients so to speak. Copulation, ovulation, incubation, hatch photos a plus. This may sound unreasonable, but this is my post-scam criteria for dealing in hets w/ ANYONE I don't know. Do a search on Ace Reptiles for more details...LOL..DOH!

If neither option is possible, you may want to deal with someone with a long standing trusted reputation in this hobby. There are some guys out there who would rather chop of an appendage than screw someone and have their rep damaged.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Mike

We agreed on a trade of my '05 male spider and '05 male pastel, both proven many times and have some size to them for his '07 het albino female and '07 het pied female and I would pay shipping for both myself and him too. He sent pics and weights of his snakes(306, 190) and said he has photos to prove genetics. I sent him pics of mine breeding, post shed pics, etc. His website is very nice but like you said 2,500 eggs, and I have never heard of them before? I do not have a last name, just Chris I think it was. Any help appreciated! I don't wanna get burned on hets after reading some bad stories on here. This BOI is the best thing that has happened in years!
~Tony

just wanna add my 2 cents. it doesn't sound like much of a good deal to me. i would think someone claiming to have 2500 eggs would have plenty of male spiders and pastels on hand. i never heard of or delt with this guy but i dont wanna see anyone get burned.
mike

Thanks guys! I don't think I will do the trade untill I hear someone that has dealt with him. 2,500 a year someone would have to pop up. I might have to sell the spider and pastel outright and buy from someone reputiable.

Their site looks good but "we will have access to" are words that make me think of bruce eisenman and carolina reptile exchange.

Maybe they're 100% legit but you would think someone would have heard of an operation producing that many babies.

This is what I came up with after doing a "Who is" on GoDaddy. The information below came from his site sunlightsheds.com which is listed as the administrative contact on rarepythons.com. Rarepythons.com was only registered on 12/30/07

I have never heard of the guy either

Also, did anyone notice this improbable nugget of info on his About Us page?

Scientific Research
In addition to our normal breeding programs we also have an extensive genetic engineering department. Headed by experts in molecular biology, you can expect to see some amazing animals entering the market in the upcoming years!

Something else that is odd. If you take a look at their "available' mojaves, they have them all listed at $3,000 each. That would put them at about 600% of market. The bottom two that are listed also use the same pic.

This is a stab in the dark. The website does look good. You can pick up your purchase at the facility. The genetic engineering claim is obviously overstated. It is unusual that no name is given. Could this be someone that has earned a less than stellar reputation in the past attempting a fresh start? I'm not insinuating anything. This is just a thought that occurred to me.

On the website it says to give 48 hrs notice if you want to stop by to pick up animals or for a visit. It would be nice if there was someone in the Niagra Falls area who could do that to give a definitive thumbs up or down.

I had the same thought but he couldn't be that stupid.

Ha ha. I think he could be that stupid. It made him a lot of money first go around. Would it be the first time that a thief goes back to doing what he knows how to do best in an industry he knows best how to do it?

True enough Chuck. My comment was more in line with I can't believe he would do it in such an easy and recognizable way.

By the way all...not saying that this is the case, just spitballing at the moment. Mr. Rare Pythons may be 100% on the level.

I got a bad feeling about it. The websites...the flash...the animation....the print.....its eerily too familiar.

Upon viewing the web site, I decided to do a reverse look up on the phone number, and the main number is unlisted, which seems incredibly unusual for a straight business. I also looked up the fax number, all of which led me to a Christopher Casacci, enjoy.

WEBSITE OPERATORS ADMIT TO FORGERY CHARGES

State Attorney General Spitzer today announced the guilty pleas of three people responsible for operating a website that sold fake New York State drivers licenses and other fraudulent documents.

The three defendants from Western New York pleaded guilty to forgery charges in Supreme Court, Erie County in connection with the operation of "perfectids.com," a website that sold fraudulent identification which included driver licenses and social security cards.

The website touted high quality reproductions which included imbedded security features such as ultraviolet watermarks, scanable barcodes, and holograms. These features made the fraudulent identification virtually indistinguishable from official government issued identification.

"This website was not a legitimate business enterprise," Spitzer said.

Spitzer noted that in addition to facilitating underage purchase of alcohol, the fraudulent identification could be used in other more serious crimes.

Christopher Casacci, 22, of Amherst admitted to Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia, that he was responsible for creating and selling phony New York State driver licenses through Casacci's website, perfectids.com. Molly Neri, 23, of Amherst and Katarzyna Kaczor, 21, of Kenmore admitted they worked with Casacci to create and sell dozens of fake New York drivers licenses. The IDs sold for $150 each.

The guilty pleas were the result of an investigation by the New York State Attorney General's Office, the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority Police, the New York State Police, the FBI's Buffalo Cyber Task Force, the United States Secret Service and the Erie County Sheriff's Department. The electronic evidence that was seized from the defendants in March 2003 was examined and analyzed by the Western New York Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory.

According to the criminal complaint, Casacci designed and operated the website. Casacci sold and shipped these documents to customers with the help of Neri and Kaczor.

The illegal enterprise was uncovered when some of the packages were undeliverable and law enforcement was notified.

Casacci plead guilty to attempted Forgery in the Second Degree, a class E felony and faces a maximum of 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison when he is sentenced on January 10, 2005. Neri and Kaczor face a maximum sentence of one year when sentenced on January 10, 2005, based upon their guilty plea to Forgery in the Third Degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Attorney General Spitzer acknowledged and thanked the partners in the law enforcement agencies who assisted in the investigation, including Niagara Frontier Transit Authority Police Office Kevin Shilling and Detectives Thomas Gerace and David Wane, New York State Police Investigator Tom Spulecki, Supervising Special Agent Holly Hubert and Special Agent Michael Cheng of the FBI's Buffalo Cyber Task Force, U.S. Secret Service Agent Richard Ford, and Erie County Sheriff's Detective Greg Savage and Chief Scott Patronik.

This matter was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Paul F. McCarthy of the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau under the supervision of Deputy Bureau Chief Viola Abbitt. Supervising Investigator James L. Domres of the Attorney General's Investigations Bureau directed the investigation.
