I would take them if you haven't already and get a fecal done. Your animals may look or appear fine, but there may be underlying conditions. I know they are big with WC animals. I have had very very bad luck with them on a GTP purchase(described in another thread..). good luck...

Thank you, I already took my bp George to the vet. he had a fecal done, he is ok! He just has pneumonia, and is being treated for it. am improving, he just went through a body shed, and ate his 2nd fuzzy.

I contacted the seller, and let her know about my bp.

Good for you contacting the seller but they will not do anything.
They have proven time and again they are not worth sending money to.

Perhaps you should call Danielle Field's Geckos to cancel the order, before calling your credit card company...just a thought.

Knowing how these people have operated over the years and their proven track record, I would personally just deal with my credit card company once and be done with it.

Otherwise you spend two to three weeks with minimal return communication, lied to, given the run around and getting countless hours of your time wasted just to have to call your credit card company anyway..... just a thought.

Wow...reading these posts helped me ALOT

I placed an order with Danielle Fields Geckos yesterday, and THEN started reading and trying to find information. I ran across faunaclassifieds in a random search just trying to get information on Red Tails. I then got a bit curios seeing how people could "check" on a dealer/breeder, and started getting a bit sick to my stomach knowing I had just given this person my CC info via telephone, and was going to be charged today for the purchase...

I promptly sent e-mails and tried calling Mike to at least speak with him about it, ask some more questions, etc. Not 30 minutes after I got off the phone telling him to charge my CC, no answer on the phone. I then sent out e-mails cancelling the order. Luckily....I use a pre-paid CC for ALL online orders (XBOX Live for our boys, books, etc), and knew that if I spent the money elsewhere...the charge would be denied.

So...more searching here for a breeder (also one I hoped to find in my home state of Texas), and ran across Texas Herp Haus. I called Mary at almost 10PM...felt so bad for calling so late, and could NEVER have imagined the response I was given...PERFECT....absolutely PERFECT. She knew her business, answered ALL my questions, and was happy that I had done some research. I GLADLY placed an order for a Red Tail Boa baby boy they have 100% Het for Albino. He should be here Friday morning (she was reluctant to ship out on a Thursday just in case there was a problem with weekend deliveries, but since we live FOUR HOURS from each other I kinda talked her into it). Talking to her and looking at her website replaced that rumble/tumble in my gut with a warm fuzzy feeling. I will be placing a response on faunaclassifieds.com when our new baby arrives from Texas Herp Haus.

Thank You ALL for your input and research into the "Who's Who" to buy/deal with. Just wanted you all to know that your input here DOES matter and SAVES others who are not "in the know".

Just want to revise. Maybe adding fuel to a fire that should have been put out long ago. Mike actually called me tonight to ask about my post, was "manned up" on his side, explained ALOT about some of the in's and out's of the business aspect, LOTS of competition I guess, but as a hobbyist here, was looking out for number 1 here. I SHOULD NOT have said ANYTHING to possibly light another match under a guy I just dealt with via telephone.

That said, after some CAREFUL reading, and pinpointing exactly who has had dealings with Mr. Fields, I have seen some good deals, and some bad. You can't make everyone happy...no matter what you do. Even the most professional and succesful business people tend to piss someone off on their way to the top.

I feel like I may have jumped in with both feet, and after looking down only now realize that I jumped into a big stinking pile....I would like to appologize to Danielle and Mike for saying ANYTHING that may have led ANYONE to believe that my decision to cancel was based on any PERSONAL experience, but rather the opinions of a select few (some may want to just stop crying and move on). That's on ME.

I am however happy with the decision we made for the order we placed from Texas Herp haus, but after talking with Mike on the telephone, I do plan on a future purchase of a possible Female Albino RTB from them.

Now I will go gracefully step into my asbestos underwear and wait for the FlameFest that is sure to follow.

Funny he told you about these bad deals of his but wasn't man enough to come here and explain himself or make the wrongs he's done right.. So......there are multiple posts here that show this guy is a consistant liar who has to keep changing his business name and hiding his own name to stay in business, and that he has sent multiple people poorly packaged, sick and dying animals, yet you chose to take his word over multiple others who have gotten ripped off by him?

Seriously guys this isn't rocket science. Sending out sickly animals when claiming they're "healthy and feeding" is BS. I don't give a rat's behind what kinda' profit or business you're running -- bottom line is, if you can't provide for the animals' well-being, let alone your customer's expectations, don't be IN that business. You deal with animals, and if you can't fulfill expectations, GET OUT. No explanation needed. Some things might be exaggerated on the public's part, but from experience, exaggeration happens when people are trying to light a bulb that says STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. It's like rumors. Some truth to most rumors, and unfortunately in business, people take it and run with it. But in THIS PARTICULAR CASE, the history linked to the business is so full of garbage and corruption, attempting to defend them at this point makes you look incompetent, ignorant, and tooting your own self-righteous horn for no one but your own self's hope that you proved a point, that you might have in fact gotten an 'OKAY DEAL' with them. Well, you're one of the 10% whose order gets done right with no deaths. Everyone else is getting screwed because you supported the guy who saved you a measly 20%. The vets don't care about the cheapo's because then wild animals get tossed around like quarters in an arcade. The vets understand that supporting these guys perpertuate the bad reputation of online business in general and screw us all in the end anyways.

Chris, my guess and this is just a guess, is that they did get into some trouble with KS . Mike has changed the company name and put his wife up front . I wonder how long it will be before they have to pick a new name and then I guess Mike will need a new wife so he can use her name lol or I guess he could put the business in one of his kids name. Seems like an awful lot of trouble to keep going through, it would have been easier to have just been an honest businessman and done right by his customers. They have lost many many times more money in sales because he ripped people off than it would have cost him to have done the right thing. No one ever said Mike had much for brains.. Randy

Until people get ripped off under the wife's business name and report it through the proper legal channels, they can't do anything against HER. It's clear the guy is hiding behind her skirts but he apparently can't get an account with KS under his own name anymore or he'd still be doing it.

Therein lies part of the problem, my friend. Folks say, "Well, if they don't care, why bother reporting them?".....and if everyone says that, they never get reported at all.

File your complaint, at least you know you've done all that you can to prevent others from getting ripped off as well.

Good Gosh! Thank goodness for the BOI! My nine year old daughter is trying to do a few Leo's and had already got upset when she had got two adult "females" that turn out to be two adult "males". I have been searching high and low for "affordable" girls for her and had found these people. I was almost ready to put a order in but decided to do a quick search here on them first. Thanks to everyone who posted because if I had bought some and then they died I would be dealing with one broken hearted little girl.

That is how they roll on the BOI mate. If you question, defend, or even suggest something about what they deem the wrong person, then you are suddenly labeled a bad guy. I suggest no one let these people bully you into silence with threats or attacks on your reputation.
If you had a good experience with who they deem a "bad guy" let people know and if you have a bad experience with someone they deem a "good guy" you should definitely let people know.
