Inquiry - Jeff Schofield?

Well, regardless of what one or more think of my reasoning for my post here, it seems obvious that Mr. Schofield purposely misrepresents himself. This is but one example of several that have been brought up; "they are way better than average" "no tipping". These animals are NOT way better than average and they are loaded with tipping.

The argument about my reasoning for my original post makes zero sense, especially when I did say that Mr. Schofield specifically asked me to look into him here (and posted the email where he says that). I don't know why there are a select few that wish to make me look like a bad guy along side the obvious someone whom obviously misrepresents the animals he is trying to sell. Mr. Schofield has shown his true colors, the argument that I should not have shown it here or that a baited him, or whatever, makes no difference, he is who he is, nothing more, nothing less. If anyone here wishes to defend Mr. Schofield by attacking me, be my guest, I certainly can't stop you. The bottom line is that I was correct in my opinion of this guy. This has been proven on several levels. So, stating that I did not have good cause to bring this subject to the BOI is absurd at best.

I will take one swing at explaining this and then give up.

No one is defending Jeff. He has dug a deep hole here and is now forced to reside in it.

No one is trying to make you out a bad guy. You seem like a generally reasonable guy with maybe a penchant for being a tad antagoistic and hot headed.

The point that was made several times by various posters was that the email exchange that provoked you to this post devolved to the level it did based on your postings....not Jeff's

I'm sorry Jeff, it's not about believing you, it's about being wise with my money. I will not allow myself to purchase animals sight unseen. If you are interested in selling them to me, then you will have to find a way to get some pictures, certainly you have a friend that has a digital camera? Please, do not take this as being rude, I just cant buy a snake without seeing it first.

Mr. Schofield decided it wasn't over and wanted to give it one more push. It seemed he was trying to convince me that his snakes were so great, that with photos, they would have been sold a long time ago.

Believe me, you are nothing more than a scam and a bad one at that.

The quote in bold is the liynchpin of the problem. Any reasonable person would have stopped short of that statement. Your main point of contention is that he "went crazy" after that Email. The fact is that you, for your own amusement, coninued to excacerbate the situation with continued digs after that statement in an effort to prolong the exchange. (why, I can't imagine).

Someone acting in an adult and professional manner would never have made that completely innapproprate statement that forced this into a confrontation.

Your initial inquiry was most definitely not benign in nature. you had already called Jeff a scammer and baxically told him to shove his animals where the sun don't shine. I seriously doubt that even if you had received a favorable response to your first post you had any intention of consumating a purchase with him. You seem like an intelligent person so I'll wager you read the existing threads on Schofield prior to your first post.

The only reason you began this thread was to shoot another dig at him. that is not an inquiry....it is a deliberate and malicious attempt at retribution.

Here is another bit of support for my theory.

I only hope you will continue to humor, yet enoy me enough to cause me to place multiple complaints against you with kingsnake and anyone else that will listen. Your gig is up, quit scamming people. And incidentally, if by some incredible chance you are not trying to scam people, all you need is proof, word is no longer an option in regards to internet sales.

Which was exactly your intent in starting this thread. Revenge, plain and simple.

As I stated several times, I am thrilled that this thread got started due to the fact that schofield was enticed to show his true colors. However, the motives you had in starting this were without merit. You have definitely come off as a petty and childish pot stirrer with a malicious bent for inciting and prolonging problems.

i would most certainly never do business with Schofield but, after examining your actions and motivations here I don't consider you to much of an improvement.

Well, that's too bad you feel this way. I certainly don't like it, but there isn't much I can do about it. I guess I will throw a few things out there just for a simple defense.

First of all, I agreed from the onset that I was not innocent in this affair, and have never claimed I was. My entire point to you is that HE asked me to check him out, so I did. I agree, I was certainly a bit overly skeptical of Mr. Schofield very early on. But never the less, at least to me, it seemed warranted. I cannot argue the childish behavior point you have made and I agree. Again, it still boiled down to how I took his initial communication and I wasn't going to sit by and do nothing. I should have asked about the guy here prior to getting into it with him via email, I guess I just don't operate that way. Is your goal here to change me? Maybe to change how I react to others?

Revenge? Absolutely not! I can see how you could view it that way and all I have is my word, which is worthless if you do not know me. However, I had no intensions of having some sort of revenge on this guy, only an interest in finding out if I was wrong or not and exposing him if I was right. As it turns out, regardless of what you think of me and my actions, my opinion of him was pretty right on. Basically, you are faulting me for jumping to conclusions with this guy and being childish. I guess in a nut shell, your assessment of my actions is correct. Still with that in mind, I can see no fault in my jumping to the correct conclusion. Childish behavior, yes, and as I’ve said more than once now, I am not innocent in this affair. I’m not sure what more you want than that.

So, when you bring up my faults here, when the subject matter is really about Mr. Schofield, please forgive me if I wish to be defensive. And yes, I can agree that the subject matter can include my actions with the person in question, but it’s been covered and I had already agreed to NOT being innocent. So why you would want to continue to beat me down is beyond me, especially when my opinion of this guy has been proven to have merit. Your argument might be, “because you (Brad) brought the subject back up”. Well, yes, I did. For all those who have interest in this subject, I felt it was the only right thing to do once this new information was available. Should I not have followed up on it? New information, DIRECTLY involved with this subject, became available. Are you now going to fault me for this too?

I’m childish and I jump too quickly to conclusions. If your goal here was to expose that about me, then fine, you’ve done it. Not sure what the real need was for you to do so, but there, it’s done. If I (and you) have exposed myself of this in order to prove to others that someone is not good to buy from and cannot be trusted, I would do it again in a heartbeat. That’s just he kind of guy I am, go ahead and fault me for that too while you are at it.

In closing, I would like to make the obvious clear. I am, by no stretch of the imagination, a perfect person. I am absolutely riddled with imperfection. But, I can spot a line of BS a couple of thousand miles away.

Update

Of course there are no pics and he actually states that if he has to start taking pics, that the price will go up. It is really a shame because he has some nice stuff listed. Trouble is, you never know what snsake you are going to get when you deal with him, not to mention dead snakes, snakes hanging out of packages and empty packages. There are other negative threads about him on the BOI, but this one will give you enough information to make an informed purchasing decision. He should pop up heree shortly with more deflection and disinformation, claiming all the while to be the consummate biologist! Buyer Beware!
