I have said it before and I believe this: there is more to a vendor than posted prices and animals. Their integrity, the way they interact with customers, and non customers, and even how they interact with their competition will say a lot about how they really feel about reptiles and the reptile business and about people and business too..

YOU do not call the shots here or anywhere else, based on what you have told us, though since you have not always been truthful, it IS difficult to know what to not believe as well as what to believe; however, that is not the point.

The point is, YOU do not set the standards for ANYTHING that anyone else must follow. Do you see the hypocricy in your statement? It's ok for mkr to say what they want and charge what they want but you guys can't complain about it.

Why would anyone want to delete these posts? I for one like to do research on companies and their representatives before I make a purchase, and this thread lets me know the type of people I'd be dealing with...afterall, isn't that what's so great about the BOI? Steve, I think that you greatly under estimate the buying public here (ie potential MKR customers)...do you really think that anyone wants to deal with someone that displays the same type of business practices and attitude that you've displayed on these forums?

In my opinion, you've done a brilliant job of representing MKR on these forums!

I’ve been an actual customer of MKRs. I may be again. I was/am reasonably happy with the pastel male I got from them in 03’ and I was/am *reasonably* pleased with the price I paid. But this has been driving me nuts as I read the other thread~ and now that it’s been mentioned a few times in this thread I just have to ask~

WHY is Joe ranting and raving about the middleman? I don’t want to get into a pissing match with Joe (I’d lose~ I don’t even have the equipment to compete) and frankly his posts here scare me a bit~ BUT why does he keep giving others crap about being a middleman? In 03' MKR WAS the middleman.

In 03’ when I bought my pastel another fellow who posted as “Mark” on KS bought one from them too. It was quite the faux pas at the time~ Mark got his pastel~ posted pics of the pastel MKR produced (It was an exceptionally pretty pastel too)~ and Damion Wyatt produced picture proof that HE produced that pastel and sold it to MKR. MKR admitted the situation and apologized for representing the animal as their own.

I liked Wes on the phone~ he seemed like a nice guy. I don’t want to play with Joe~ you’re a little scary dude~……..

Sometimes a thread takes 1000 posts for people's true colors to show, and that is the purpose of this forum. Perhaps you should have done some reading here before you starting making hateful comments about "Yankees" (bet that does great things for MKR's customer base north of the Mason-Dixon Line) and calling people "liers" [sic] in your signature. All of that is preserved here for as long as this site exists. And all anyone will ever need to do to find it is to run a search.

The saddest part of this is that you and Joe have taken the people who were defending MKR's business model, such as myself, Wes Pollock, Jim F, and others and shown us what clowns you both are. Think about that for a moment. As I said in another post, you went after Tom Sanderson who was also defending Joe's business model. And then you blame it on the people who started this "hate fest" [sic].

Quite pathetic.

The next thing that people in this type of hole invariably do is tell us how all of this negative publicity has improved sales by 100%, 200%, or even 300%. I'm awaiting that announcement anytime.
