In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry on bearded pets?

Wait a minute Daniel

your telling me a gaurantee signed with a yahoo addy isn't good?

Jon-

Heres another question if you are willing to answer, how come when I sent payment I was told to send it to Elena Egidi? Why didn't you want payment sent to you? Were you afraid of the repercussions of your actions?

your telling me a gaurantee signed with a yahoo addy isn't good?
:D :D

Scott,

Is the snake that's on the seal at the top of the guarantee a picture of one of the snakes? If so you will need a microscope to identify her!

Regards.

Like I said before, all that I can tell from the pic is that the dorsal pattern doesn't match either snake on both gaurantees.

Jon-
First off, I don't hate anybody. Secondly, although it was never my "dream" growing up, life somehow landed me a job in a facility that holds true to it's motto: We build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. I get to work with many great programs, although my title is Facilities Director I manage to free up some of my time to work with Visions for Youth (a trouble teens org), OIC (an alternative edu group), Concerned Gentlemen (a small group of adult males that target men and women ages 18-26 in "war zones" in my community and try to discourage their current life choices), Alternatives (which provides after school activities, tutoring, and field trips to less fortunate children - a few weeks ago they went to the Columbus Zoo, out of 15 children, none have ever been to a zoo), and finally were in our 3rd week of summer camps for children. We also host the special olympics, and an obescity awareness class for kids age 12-16. Pretty awesome job if you ask me. Especially for my skills. My schedule is very flexible, which in turn allows me ample time to check and double check all of my ads BEFORE they're posted.

The offer I made you was obviously a joke. I would not bring something from your "facilty" into my collection, even it it was free. I'm not attacking you, bro - you have just completely burned out the ole "typo" excuse. You're full of excuses, period. Bottom line, you've proven to the herp community as a whole that you do not have the "skills" to sell live harmless reptiles. No offense, I just think you may have another "calling" in life.

As far as how I have reacted to you, you're probably right. Kind is not the word to describe it, and for that I apologize. I will now pass the microphone over to my friends here at Fauna.....in closing, I'd like to wish you a peaceful night's sleep because if I conducted business the way you do, I would not be able to sleep at night, so best of luck on that.

Peace.

Btw sybella where in Central Cali. are you? I am assuming Gringolandia is a joke. Lol. I'm just south of Modesto.

Only six posts and you've already stole the show. Wow, I must say I am impressed with your skills :)

Funny how the breeders name changed.

We will soon know all the dirt on both typo boy and Elana/Eliga.

They are two different people. Eliga is who breeds Elena is who cashes his checks. But what I don't understand is all you need is a ID to cash a MO, right? So why the third person?

Scott Vernooy

I'm curious, as to why Elena was an owner of this company three months ago and now he/she is just a local breeder you buy your ball pythons from. I though Bearded Pets was a family business?

no, no, no...

Wow, jon, you sure make a lot of typos! Some would say that is very conveninet on your part but, I believe you!

Although, I did find some more typos in your ads. Often you claim that the BPs are 100% het for something or other. Surely, you meant that they were WC, parasite-infested, fresh imports, right?

My input

First off, I want to make one thing very clear, not only would I not buy anything from these people, I would not even sell anything to them.

It looks from all the previous posts like one or more of the following is happening:

1-You will get your guarantee card with pictures, but not of the animals you actually received, or pictures so small, that you could never convince a judge that you were scammed. If you get a written guarantee from someone who may not be around as a business by the time you actually breed your snakes, what good is that guarantee. Or one better, if you get a guarantee with a pic of someone elses snakes, the seller can say, once you get 0 homozygous animals from your "hets", that the snakes you bred and got nothing from are obviously not the snakes he sold you, so you are trying to scam him!

2-Some questions you may ask yourself before buying """"hets"""", and I use that term loosely, from this seller. Are they actually getting hets from the BREEDER? Lets assume they are, OK, are you actually getting the hets from this seller? Is the seller selling what he thinks are hets, were hets actually purchased from the breeder, and switched with normals and posted as the breeder purchased hets? OR, is Bearded Pets actually buying normals, which they think are hets, and selling them as hets?

3-Why are people actually still buying from Reptibid? I just do not understand it....looking for a great deal, get into a bidding war and pay $500 for fake hets, just does not make sense to me.

Dave-who wisely purchases his hets from the Sutherlands, Sharp and Kahl.

You make a good point but people should also remember fraud and scams are not exclusive to Repti-bid, could be a couple in the classifieds here. I agree if you want hets buy brand name hets. Might cost a little more but what is your piece of made worth to you?

Take care,

Exactly my point...

THAT is why I get so pi$$ed of at these freaking jokers selling BS hets. The ending result is it effects some people's decision to NOT even consider a purchase from someone who may be 110% legit, completely honest when representing animals available, but happen to be on a smaller scale than some of the other breeders. Not saying these larger scaled breeders don't deserve every bit of recognition they get, and their hard work and dedication is just, but I for one don't like it when I see people snuff the little guys because of people like BEARDED PETS. I can however understand it wholeheartedly, it makes sense to invest in someone that you KNOW is a mainstay in the industry, strong bloodlines, etc.

I'm hoping everyone understands that I am not disrespecting anyone who choses to spend their money wisely, I just thought this would be a good opportunity to let readers here at fauna know why I get so ticked at some of these morons. What they do DOES effect all of us in some way. Jon - you're hiding in your hole again....we're still waiting on:

*pics of your facility
*3 positive references
*the 98% Clown ad (by the way, IF and only IF for one second I thought your explanation was legit - you know, the ole' "it was a typo, I meant to say it was a 98% Black Back and could produce a Clown" reply, I think the animal would have to show AT LEAST 70% coverage. The animal in your ad....looks far less than that. Look at all those "dots"....hey wait a minute, you might have yourself one of those "polka dotted, dash morphs!!!!!

I will bring this thread back to the top whenever something of concern pops up. That means every single time you post an ad anywhere on the net and I see it, I'm bringing it back to top of the bashing (I mean, batting) order.

Jon- make sure you rewind to my reply a few pages back on me "hating you" it's important you read that, just so you know.

Opinions please....

Even though the pics are small, what would be your estimations of the % of "black" on this animal's "back" compared to the 98%that BEARDED PETS is claiming in his "typo" alibi???

I totally agree with you troy about him affecting small breeders like myself. I explained this to him via email but I don't think he is going to answer anything of importance.

I have emailed you several times. Well why dont I get any emails back?? Oh by the way the breeders name didnt change so maybe you guys should do soem research before posting. "that comment was not geard towards you."
Thanks.
PS. in my other emails I was saying that if your still willing to do the trade then I am fine with that. Though if you want to sell them off as normals go ahead. But some lucky guy will be getting one hell of a deal.

This is the FIRST reply I have received. And I never said the breeders name changed. The others in the forum are confused. And I will just keep the snakes. Don't worry about it.All we wanted to know in the posts is where the morphs came from. It's not a big deal. I get colubrids from Bill Gillingham. He is a reputable breeder. Other hets came from Reptile Basics. I don't have a problem telling people that. If you want people to trust you, you will need to do this. I know it seems harsh in the forum but it is frustrating when you say you will answer questions but then don't answer the most important ones. I have other hets and such and I would be glad to tell people where I got them from and they can all be tracked to a reputable breeder. Like I said before this is how genetics are verified. Anyone can have a picture of an albino BP but that doesn't mean they bred it and are actually selling it's offspring. All we want to know is who Eliga got his breeding stock from. It's not a big deal. If the snakes are what you say they are and his lineage is verified, your prices are competitive enough to not have to worry about it, right? Nobody is going to steal your or his connect or whatever. I am a beginner myself. I have bred reptiles in the past but am just getting into the BP craze. But if this phenomenon is going to succeed we need trustworthy herpers to work with. Fraudulent claims by people, not necessarily you (I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but I have seen alot of people get burnt in the past), just make it harder for small people like me and you to succeed. I will raise these snakes and breed them back to definite hets that I have collected and we'll see what happens. But if you are true and honest then you will have no problem revealing the lineage and history of Eligas and whoever else's snakes you have been selling as hets. If you don't then myself and the others in the forum and whoever reads it will think you are a scam. Straight up.

Thank You
Scott Vernooy"

I haven't received a reply yet nor do I plan on hearing from him again any time soon.

I was offered a refund?

Holey Moley! I have not bothered to check this in many months, and wow check out the conversation! I saw a post from Jon that someone was offered a full refund for some snakes, and if that was in reference to me, here's what happened:
I received an email stating that if I was unhappy with my purchase I could SEND BACK the snakes and they would send me a refund! I offered in a reply to meet him somewhere as I live close to Atlanta, but I got no reply.
OK then, remember that the photos on the sales certificate did not match the animals I got?
Would any of you send them back without your refund first? Me either. "F*** me once, shame on you, f*** me twice, shame on me"
Now, Jon, Elena, do you understand that using the US mail (postal money orders) elevates a fraudulent activity into mail fraud? Oops, that's a felony!
The fair thing for you bearded pets folks to do would be to send me the difference between what I paid and what the value of a couple of normal baby balls are worth, I'll even be generous and say they are worth fifty apeice. I'll even eat the shipping. Holding my breath.
Oh, for everyone else, I myself simply did not investigate, or check for other ads, and I just thought the bad spelling may have been because Elena was from another country and just learning English, no big deal. Stupid of me! I wonder if they could figure out how to use a spell checker? I suppose that was a cheap shot.
On second thought, that shot cost me a few hundred!
