Did your fiance complain to you and you reacted without doing homework? Seems that way. Did you read the emails before you reacted? NOPE
No, I did not, and yes, he did.
I like how you conveniently left out MOST of the e-mails you sent me....
Here are the e-mails between Dan and I in their ENTIRETY (very slightly edited to remove a couple names to avoid upsetting anyone else)...please note that they are in reverse order from newest to oldest. There were 5 more e-mails preceding these from dan to me (and several from me to him.
Christina: Yea, if you can snatch them up at cheaper rate then I would recommend to get them while you can. A different wholesaler who is one of my main suppliers has them on his wholesale list for $250. I asked him a week ago if he could provide a further discount on a dozen or more and he said he cannot go any lower than $250 (even at wholesale prices) because he was moving them fast at that wholesale price. He has only a few left so has been successful moving them. I believe I know who you might be buying them from and they came from my import from Germany a few days ago. I saw them all of course and delivered them myself and they are in great shape so am quite confident you will be happy with your order. I do get them every other month and sometimes some are not as plump as they could be, but this last shipment was great and these are all healthy and sturdy animals. Thanks.

Christina: I did import many additional skinks and I delivered them to other dealers and they may be eager to sell them lower because they received many more at a larger discount however I only kept four of the dozens I imported for the resale market. Perhaps in a month or two or later I might import more and can offer them at a lesser rate but I have a long list of dealers who are after me for them and it is quick and easy to work a trade/credit with them and the larger groups usually never hit the retail market. I just actually upped them to 275 each or 1100 for all 4 shipped and if they do not sell for a few weeks at that price I will lower them because I have hundreds of reptiles for sale and can wait it out so to speak.

I do not trust the person selling them for $340…but she has 4 and even so, there are a LOT of people who don’t know who not to trust, and if the prices were fair she’d have sold at least one of them by now. There is also an adult male listed at $350 that has been up for quite some time without being sold. From what I’ve seen and heard the normal price for these guys is well under $200…. I do know that your prices are not the lowest currently available and I know of a lower priced source with some currently available that I know is reliable/respectable….so I’m afraid I’m going to have to pass unless you can lower the prices some.
Thanks again,
Christina

Christina: That person advertising them for $340 is a scammer/joker selling from other people's wholesale lists. I would strongly recommend avoiding people who do that or try to do that. That ------- name sounds familiar but I do not recall selling him any and he may have gotten some from my supplier and shipped through me a year ago but again, I don't ever recall selling him any myself. And as is the case at the moment, I was informed my offer on them for $950 for the 4 was very cheap to startle other dealers to ask me to raise the prices so I do plan to up that a bit perhaps tomorrow or when the advertisement expires as I hid it.

Really?...I know that there are some listed on Kingsnake right now for $340-50 and they have been there for at least a week and have none have sold... I was referred to you by ----------- who said he got them for $68 each in 10 lots from you. $250 just seems like an awefully large jump from those prices…especially when you claim that these prices are so low. Is there any way you could go any lower for all 4?...I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know!
Thanks again,
Christina

OK, well I actually had to hide the advertisement (an advertisement option) because a few of my competitors/friends telephoned and emailed and barked that I advertised them too cheaply at wholesale prices and they seemed angry with me.
I did not know they were selling for much more money and only priced them that low to gain some quick monies to pay my exporter in a timely manner.
In any case, the price still stands as we discussed but if you do not take them, I perhaps might repost the advertisement and up the price to 300 each and leave it at that until they sell.
Dan
And as you can see from the emails, the wholesale price on them is $250.00.
Where in these e-mails did you claim that YOU got them for $250?? Where is the evidence that the "current" wholesale price was $250?....seems to me that you flat out told me that you sold larger lots to others for less and could "hold out" on selling those 4 for more. You DID try to intimidate me...you didn't intimidate me, but you tried to. Telling me you had people angry at you for selling at "such a low price," threatening to raise the price and then doing so, telling me the other sellers are scammers.....sounds like intimidation attempts to me.
