Well, here is another thread in which I have no business participating, but I READ THIS STUPID THING FROM START TO FINISH, and I suppose that gives me the right to pontificate for a minute. Here are my impressions about the major protagonists in this thread (some of which are drawn from considerable experience and some from this thread alone):

Neil: If ANYONE is shocked that Neil can act like a 5th grader once he's ticked off, he is either new to the BOI, or he has not been paying attention at all. However, I have never heard of anyone attacking Neil for his animals or his deals being of substandard quality (and this comes from one of the [former] dirty dozen!)

Jewell: I do not know much about her, but anyone that can help Neil get organized gets my vote for president!

Chris: I have no doubt that his initial post was not intended to begin 8+ pages of back and forth, but I would have worded it differently, I think. Chris, part of the reason people are responding as they have is because of your penchant to end your posts with "Think about it." Well, they are thinking about it, and they're writing what they think. You have to be careful what you ask for.

Sean: You seem to suffer from the same illness as some on the other side: your skin is too thin. If your going to post on the BOI, you have to be ready to take the wrath of the clique when you cross it!

The clique: There is no clique on the BOI!!!! There are a large number of people that happen to agree with how things ought to be in the herp industry, and those people tend to post a lot here on the BOI. However, there is no BOI cabal, getting together via private email, deciding what we will all say on any given subject. It just doesn't happen, and we will all jump on each other if any one of us does something that is deemed untoward by the others. Ask Neil, if you don't believe me.

Dwight Good: I "know" Dwight from the kingsnake forums, and I have never found him to be anything other than an honest guy with honorable intentions.

Seamus: Although intolerably longwinded (coming from me, that's a joke, Seamus!), Seamus is an individual with whom I usually find myself in agreement. I have never seen him attack anyone without some justification, and I have seen him admit when he is wrong (a rarity in our industry/hobby).

Well, that's it. Some of you may not feel as though I have appraised you properly. Fair enough, but they're my appraisals; I'll write them as I please. Someone may be offended that I did not count him/her as a true protagonist in this thread. Email me, and I'll write something smart-aleck-y about you too!

All in all, I'd think everyone's best interest would be to let this thread die the death! I'll not post in it again (unless someone feels the need to attack ME! )

Wouldn't this be considered as the pot calling the kettle black? This is from a different thread but wasn't the problem Neil had was Sean when Sean let the cat out of the bag about the same animals but one with substantial savings? Isn't he doing the same thing here. As usual his shining colors are shown.

Adam.... once again.... you're an IDIOT!.... What is wrong with you?.... Obviously, you LIKE to cause problems for everyone! Well, as you can see.... Jeff won't stand for it!.... I'm not going to read this entire thread again to figure out if your message has relevance, so PLEASE tell me what your post about Adam has to do with this thread? I really do not want this going off on another tangent, so unless you have a real good reason, the message you posted will be deep sixed.

Isn't it Adams right to sell for whatever price he wants to? I think it's pertinent to the post as it really seems hypocritical that Sean was verbally attacked for doing so But It's OK for Neal to ask Adam about the same thing? Anyhow, you might be getting some heat from some of the people involved in this post that would really love to see it get brushed under the rug so if it gets deleted it does.

My first time writing here, just here to say I hope that I never have to make an inquiry on this forum to check someone out. The name calling, the sudden defenses, and the friends that jump in to defend a friend because a question was asked.
I have bought from RK and love the beardies I have, but was a little surprised to see the defense. I am only one consumer but I read a lot in this forum and am surprised at the immature ways of dealing.
I am sure that MANY consumers read this forum, so for those who own businesses, ie, Neil and Jewel, I suggest that you can conduct your answers business like here as well.
I do not know any of you but from my standpoint, if you can see a consumers standpoint. You are just plain acting like children. It does not affect the animals you may sell but personally it leaves a bad taste in my mouth with dealing with questions, and lord forbid if there were a complaint!
So the question was worded wrong, in your opinion, be adult rise above and just answer the question.

Don't ever feel like you can't feel comfortable to inquire about someone because your worried about getting jumped on by the bandwagon. That was exactly my concern with what happened to Sean in this post. He didn't let them intimidate him by the verbal attack, but others might. When one is intimidated not to post on here because they are worried about backlash this Board will have lost its usefulness, effectiveness & is no longer any help. As long as I have my posting privlegdes I will not sit back & watch someone else get verbally assaulted for no reason at all for making an inquiry.Happy & Safe Holidays to All (yes Neal & Jewell are included)

I have not yet posted on the BOI, and this will be my first experience ;-). I just finished reading this thread from start to finish. From a consumers point of view I think this is very interesting information. At very least you found a cheaper price for a snake you might be interested in. I've also experienced times when I felt the same snake was being sold by 2 different people and I found that to feel kinda strange. Even though, just like here, their was probably a perfectly logical explanation.
I do not feel that people should analyze a question or inquiry and try and tell us what the person was really thinking though... Going beyond the actual questions and finding alterior motives... Just answer the question in a professional and business like manner, and if everything is on the up and up you should have no problems. Even if someone is trying to ruin "Hypothetical Reptiles"... If they are a good business with good practice they will have nothing to hide. Name calling and flying off the deep end only make people look guilty or somewhat secretive with their practice. If people are afraid to post or complain here, it completely defeats the purpose of the BOI and I have to agree with Rozann's post 100%. Just answer the questions, or tell of your dealings with said person and the truth will come out. Even though, without all this Drama, would the BOI be as entertaining? Kind of like a Jerry Springer episode sometimes!!!Hehe. Thanks for Listening,

i may have forgotten to post this..i cant remember anymore..
im old and feeble minded..anyhow..the jungle carpet that i bought from neil arrived last week and was perfect..ate a jumbo rat and is tame as a dog..
