    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Looking for other interested people in ball pythons in Iowa. Just thought it would be nice to know the local network of people and possibly meet and discuss ball pythons occasionally. ;)
 
Hi! My name is Olivia, I live in downtown Des Moines. I haven't started breeding yet but I would like to be ready by next season :D I've actually heard of you before from Jen Harrison. It's always nice to meet other people in Iowa who are interested in reptiles. Have a lovely day.
 
Hi Olivia!!! I figured it was time to start meeting people in our area that have similar interests. I'm glad you replied, maybe if we get a few people to respond we could all meet at the reptile show in Des Moines this year. :thumbsup:

Yea! When is the Reptile show? I was going to go last year....but something came up I can't remember what.....but anywho. Yea that would be fun! I would love to meet people at the show.
 
I'm in Ames, though I'm not a breeder. Anthony McCain is a breeder in the area.

The Iowa Herpetological Society (www.iaherp.org) has a number of members interested in ball pythons. There are more people keeping them than breeding them, of course, but there are a few breeders in the group. Jim Stelpfleug of Southwestern Wisconsin Reptiles is a breeder who sometimes hits a meeting when passing through. Everyone interested in reptiles and amphibians is welcome at the meetings.

Hey Bill and Amy and Cathy I have a friend who is trying to put together something where local Iowa exotic animal breeders (or future breeders such as myself :D) can get together every once in awhile and do a little info/equipment swap. Well crap it seems I've lost his email address but if I found it again would you guys be interested in trying to help put this together?

That sounds like a lot of fun! I'd love to help out, it would be nice to find some more folks around here that enjoy our hobby. Are you talking just herps, or other kinds of exotics as well?
