Being as this is Sat, I think, you've got two days left in this week in which we presently find ourselves.

On to another note.

The good guy certification is pretty simple and really doesn't matter whether or not if it's limited to people you've done business with or not. The fact that it does NOT rely only on replies from actual business transactions does make it somewhat more difficult for someone considering a business transaction in that THEY must discern whether or not the folks voting for or against you should be trusted or believed.

Let me give you an example. Here are all the dumbasses voting that I am a bad guy. Note the caliber or person they are and the quality they have brought to this site. Am I worried that ANYONE looking into ANY of them would get the impression that I ACTUALLY am a bad guy? I'll give my patented answer just as soon as I get my throat properly cleared, pardon me a moment.

Folks have to be smart enough to check on WHO is for or against whomever they are checking on.

IF you believe everything you read at face value then there is MUCH of which you are blissfully, I hope, unaware.

Look at who and what THEN make your decision.

I think the Good Guy Certs work well, and as mentioned, one can give weight to the votes according to how one sees the voter.

This is what I meant, if a person has a personal grudge against somebody they can vote a neg, Now if Bud was a big name guy and everybody followed suit then what????? For the most part the GGC works as it was intended. You will have people who will act like an idiot who will be vindictive and give negative votes to others they have issues with. For example bud, neil and bruce giving Wes a negative vote. Again, consider the source.

Bill I do have to say that your attitude as of late is unbecoming and disappointing. Just a little bit of friendly advice, chill. I don't see how taking jabs at others is going to accoiplish anything other than keeping you in the negative light you have put yourself in.

That's just the way Rich had it set up. I don't have the time to find the link right now because I have a show to do but it was along the lines of if you fell under 50% good guy and you lost your ability to display the certification ribbon on your site.

I second the sentiment, Bill, you seem to be turning a new undesireable leaf suddenly in this thread.

YES, Mr. Evil Leech-on-society could come in and start to vote people bad for the heck of it. And YES, if he has a following of friends they could easily come and vote like their friend did.

HOWEVER, I PERSONALLY would like to believe that the number of honest straightforward people on this site far outweigh those who are just Evil, or who are little followers who have no brain of their own.

Big-Name-Breeder, or just Big-Name-On-Fauna.. it doesn't matter. Personally I vote my heart. YES, the opinion of those whose opinion matters to me does influence my decision, that is life.

One of the reasons this poll was started was more to get the discussion going because some people seemed to believe that YOUR actions, Bill, had tainted a system and irrevocably damaged it. It was my contention all along that your actions, while a test for the system, did NOT damage the system. YOUR thread wasn't the place to discuss this, so I came here.

I do NOT see what your problem is. Wes pisses off TONS of people but only a few have actually voted him a bad guy and he understands that you'll get scum like that but that the majority, IF you're a good guy, will treat you fairly

The reason you have to have a vote to lose the GGC is because that is the way the system works. The methodology was in place when you applied for the GGC, why do you complain about it now?

While deploring your bad-guy actions in general, I was admiring you for taking the hits you were taking WELL, like a person who intends to be a good guy again someday instead of like the REAL bad guys who whine and complain and shift blame. But your actions on this thread are shifting my opinion.

It is, of course, your prerogative, Bill, to say whatever you want and express whatever opinion you have. But when you jump into this thread and start demanding answers to questions that have been answered a dozen times and act like you've been wronged when it just ISN"T SO... thats' troubling.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have a space to fill in a blurb about why you voted the way you did in conjunction with the voting system for the GGC? Just wondering why it doesn't work that way.
