One of my bp females is constantly in her water bowl. She is about 200 grams eats and poops normal. Is it normal?
The temps are good hot spot around 95 cool spot around 80. No mites and she doesnt look like she is going into shed she shedded about a week ago. She is on paper towels but has a hidebox that has coco chips in it. I spray her hide box daily for humidity. Im just afraid she is too cold in the water. She is freezing when i pull her out.
Is this the only hide, the one you spray daily? She is on paper towels but has a hidebox that has coco chips in it. I spray her hide box daily for humidity. Im just afraid she is too cold in the water. She is freezing when i pull her out.
if you are that concerned put a smaller water bowl in her cage

I have over 70 balls and have done numerous temp. tests and find they like it best around 82 with a hot spot at 85. although 90 is high it is not out of acceptable ranges for a hot spotas long as its not effecting the over all ambient temp in enclosure, and there is a cool end to go.
Taking the water bowl out and putting a smaller on in will not effect the animal and like i said before because a ball is soaking does not mean there is a problem. People jump to quick to say there is one because balls never soak, well hate to break the news they are like people have different temperments and pesonalitys i have one that loves to soak and others that if they touch water they go off the handle. So I would say before you make assumptions on my motive to take and put a smaller bowl in the enclosure have a good reason and not jsut a shrug icon.
