A_Kendergirl
AKA Grinning Geckos
I had the much anticipated 20 week ultrasound today. Everything looks good, the baby is good and healthy...and is DEFINITELY taking after Dad (what a stinker). The baby was snuggled as far down into my pelvis as it could get the ENTIRE time, so we weren't able to determine sex.
Oh, does this suck! Now we have to pick out two names, and go gender-neutral with stuff. I won't get another peek until week 36, which is the beginning of September.
For your enjoyment, I've got pics!
It's amazing how quickly they grow! The baby's foot is the size of the WHOLE baby (head to butt) just 10 weeks ago!
As you can see here, the baby was doing everything possible to keep things a mystery. These are the legs crossed at the knee...NO possible way to see what's between the legs.
The tech was saying it's unusual to be able to get the whole head and stomach into the same shot, but not a problem for my baby! He/She is curled up as tightly as possible, despite having tons of room to stretch out.
Here's a side view of the baby, it didn't change position for the whole 1/2 hour. I had to draw in the head and body - the nature of ultrasounds makes it hard to get everything into the shot...but we could see by moving back and forth.
Look familiar? My baby was doing the exact same thing, only with legs crossed and arms curled up at the chest!
So....the mystery continues!! I'm sooo frustrated, it was hard enough to wait for today...now I have to wait out the rest of the pregnancy!! At least I'm not the only one gravid in the house!

So another ultrasound? or will they not let you. I know some hospitals will only do one or two, and some insurances don't like to have them done unless needed.
