Out of concern for the Fauna community, I feel the need to inquire about this member here. He has a few retics for sale at the following link. The photos are of varying quality under varying lighting. In addition, the animals seem to be having some shed/hydration issues, and he is looking to trade for hots even though he states in the ad that he is selling because he is moving somewhere that doesn't allow pets.

I tactfully addressed these issues on his thread, after which it was deleted and the snakes relisted. The link is below, and the body of the ad has been copied and quoted. Also, can someone manage a screen shot?

Hopefully, this is just me being paranoid, but at this point it looks like there's a few flags up. Has anyone out there had any experiences with this member, ether good, bad, or indifferent?

I too was curious about this person. I have had a pm conversation gathering information on one of the retics he has listed...the 18ft tiger to be exact.

The information I received from him was she is feeding on live pigs, and he would guess her weight to be 200-300lbs. He also told me he would ship this animal through Fedex because they have a "reptile shipping program" for $100.00. ....major red flag

I too noticed that he is willing to trade for venomous, which is another red flag since he claims that he can't keep animals where he is moving to. I also noticed that he inquired on another ad saying that he was interested in this persons 13ft burm, which would be another red flag...again why would he be interested when he is being forced to sell his current animals. When asked about this he gets defensive, saying that it's not our business what his plans are, etc.

This person may or may not be legit....really seems like a to good to be true deal here.

He wanted to trade his superdwarf female for my male hogg island boa. We made this deal via PM from the very first add he posted. (Before he edited it and put in the information about his wife and move forcing sale of snakes.)

I gave him my cell phone number, he agreed to call me, deal was done, yadda, yadda. And surprise, surprise, I havent heard from him. That was 5 days ago. I pm'd him today just to see if I'd get a response but it's gonna be hard to believe him if he tells me he "lost my number" or "didnt have access to a computer" (common excuses most of us have heard before) when he's posting a new adds in the same time period.

I do think it's kinda funny that the superdwarf female he and I were talking about is now "on hold" in his current add. Oh, and I'll say this: If he still wants to trade I'm willing .... but he will definitely ship FIRST.

I just purchased his reptiles from his venomous ad,so I will let you guys know tomarrow as he is supposed to ship out and call me..I have myself covered due to my job and if this is all a scam he will be very sorry by 5pm tomarrow as he will be picked up from his home.

paid yesterday,no delta shipout today,after asking for airway bill# ect I was told a friend was shipping,but he couldnt confirm a reserved flight or airway bill# ect told him to handle it and to call me back-recieved no phone call back so I attempted to resolve the situation via phone and he will not answer any calls so I proceeded to call his local police dept as he left several trace phone numbers also picked up cash using girlfriend/wife(who is also now involved) where there is camera record and ID needed to pick up funds with a home address so they will also have photo IDs and a place to start. also filed with Federal Bureau of Investigation , National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) since he will no longer answer his phone on any of the lines he has used to contact me and this qualifies as internet fraud...its ashame what people believe they can get away with and end up digging a much deeper hole than they anticipated or expected...I would have simply agreed for him to wire back the cash since the deadline couldnt be met,but I guess we have to take the hard route.
will keep everyone updated as this transpires.

Hey, Scott...way to go the extra mile. Hopefully, there's a simple explanation (there always is, haha), but if not, I hope this guy gets what he deserves.

Also, please note that I have committed your name and location to memory. If I ever decide to trade in my legitimacy for the life of a scammer, I won't be dealing with you. I hope you don't mind!

I just wanted to answer this point brought up by catfish77. I copied those pictures and posted them in that random test thread when I was trying to do a screen shot per the OP's question (Also, can someone manage a screen shot?). It didn't work they way i wanted it to, so I just left it.

Hope this clarifies why those pics are in that test thread.

Scott, hope you get this resolved one way or the other soon and good luck.

thanks everyone,I still havent been contacted back so I will give the benifit of doubt untill tonight in case there is some real explaination,but I believe its all clear already..I have all the info I need and the multiple addresses ect,so hopefully for his sake he wises up before he is nailed for alot more than just scamming the $400 for snakes as there is alot more at stake now and other people that will go down with him. I guess people dont even know that their computer IP address locates them also..oh well,I will let law enforcement deal with this now..again thank you all and ALWAYS cya when buying from unknowns everyone isnt always lucky enough to get theirs back..whether I get my money back is irrelivent but somebodys going to jail.

Well, I just posted a link to this thread on his ad. Hopefully, he will see fit to address this, as right now, it's not looking too good for his credibility.Again, nothing is proven...yet. This is all based on a few red flags, and hopefully this guy is on the up and up.

If not, however, this may be just another case of the BOI doing the job we've all come to appreciate it for....kinda like that mean, nasty, biker cousin of yours that you forget about until you need him to beat someone up. Hey! Click on my coins and toss "cuz" a six-pack!

tomorrow he is supposed to ship the 18 foot tiger retic along with an enormous anaconda via delta dash, I will keep you posted, however due to him not having a paypal account and due to the fact I have been scammed before I have to know that she snakes are at the air port before I pay anything, but I think he is legit so far despite what has been said.

Yeah I contacted this Guy about his 22 foot retic He lives 2 hours away from me (he called) He says,In atlanta I live near chattanooga,My father was driving threw atlanta that day (back from a Trip) I talked to him He first said I dont know the size of the retic and then he says she is deff 22 feet and I asked what does she weigh he said she weighed over 300 POunds and she was wild caught he said he needed her gone asap and would sell her for 100$ be cause she has to go asap,I said hold her and I will come get her within the hour,So he said ok,then at the end of our convo he said "well....I need to talk to shane (a good freind of mine) about the retic, i talked to him last night i and let me me see what he wants to do".I was kinda mad because not even 2 minutes before he said that He promised it to me then,he said to call him back in ten minutes to see so I did,no answer then in another 20 minutes so I did no answer then he I get a Pm saying shane bought it,and tried selling me (on PM) a cotton mouth het albino I said not into venomiods get tagged buy my big ones enough,But i think its kinda weird We would come to his house in the matter of 30 minutes (my father was right outside Atlanta at the time of the call) It wazs because I was gunna pick it up and not ship Because he doe snot have these reptiles in my opinion Unless shane bought it I will ask shane He is a buddy of mine a couple of hours away and find out about this guy...Sucks though I was getting pumped up about a retic the size of that,Travis
