I’m not saying a Jim is either a good guy or bad guy, but I will say that I was disappointed in my one and only contact with him.
Last year I decided to purchase my first snake (a corn snake) and found Jim through doing a search for local breeders.
I looked at Jim's website (in July and August of 2006) and it was dated. If I recall correctly, at the time it hadn't been updated in about 2 years. I sent Jim an e-mail (though I didn't save it) inquiring about whether or not he was still in the business, his reply and my follow-up is below. I did take the liberty of switching to order of the e-mails to make it easier to read.
Now don't get me wrong, I certainly understand that a single corn snake sale wasn't going to allow Jim to comfortably retire 5 years ahead of schedule…but as I stated earlier I was disappointed in his 3 word reply to my original inquiry and his failure to follow up to the e-mail I sent below. Like I said, I'm not saying Jim is either a good guy or bad guy however, I do think the way he handled our correspondence was a little crummy.
Regards,
Steve
