    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thaking=Taking

wow.........

funny how he thinks anyone gives much thought to any drivel that spews from his mouth. craziness..... lol

Hey Chris,
I want to ask this again, as it may have been lost in the shuffle. My understanding is that the named party in the thread header, Jamie Caps, is a service member currently overseas, and that the animals were shipped just a few days ago to his fiancee Abbey who lives in NY. Apparently you have had some exchanges with Jamie, and possibly Abbie, where they both were on the same sheet of music, claiming that you owed them, and conveying every manner of threat. My concern, in light of the appearance of a possible scam here, is whether or not you believe that Jamie knew he was perpetrating the alleged scam, or whether or not he was just reacting to information fed to him by someone stateside, who may have had the ulterior agenda. As the plot thickens, I guess, but whether he was fully knowledgable, or a bit or a dupe, the emerging consensus is rather despicable.

I am uncertain if he was involved in the scam itself, it is possible. correspondence was between j and us thru the entire sale. the claim however came from the fiance. we sent the initial reply and he responded. not her.

he is also the one who threatened the legal recourse....etc.

I am guessing he was involved but I can only guess at this point. theonly correspondence with abbey was the email with the initial claim two plus hours after delivery containing the photos. the rest was all jay. I'm fairly certain it was a joint effort if I had to guess

Common sense would seem to make it a tough swallow to think that he wasn't fully aware of all aspects of this. Again, not saying that they are scammers, which you have also avoided saying, although we are getting real close to that "looks like a duck, walks like a duck, talks like a duck" thing, and it does make one skeptical! Kind of a reverse version of the Nigerian scammers. Causes you wonder if they have pulled this on other vendors, and are trying to move up in the world, or whether this was their first time. I would have to agree with your earlier statements that the tug at your patriotic conscience was a bit of an overplay, and repugnant. It was a discredit to the hundreds of thousands who wear the uniform and assign a bit more dignity to it.

also forgot to mention that the very same day we got the claim from the fiance... we got an email from jay inquiring about tiger retic we had for sale. try the one on for size and take it however you see fit...... I sure thought it was interesting. :)

And I had not noticed, but it was in response to an ad placed HERE.

Go figure........ I'll be looking forward to eventually meeting this wife of his and seeing how our chondros are doing. I'm sure they are doing quite well.

And no, we have not received a response yet. Big surprise.

the "fiance"... or wife... or whatever, just replied!

this wasn't a fraudulent claim. although i do have to admit that i already disposed of the snakes. that is my fault and in all essence i do apologize. i have learned a valuable lesson in all of this from your company and from my fiance as well. one, cover all grounds before making an order because money and reputation are on the line, and purchases in person are often better than the internet. again i apologize and i personally will take care of the $530 to my fiance. thank you and sorry.

looks as if they wish to sweep this under the rug after realizing we are local and have every intention of investigating this matter. HUGE SURPRISE!

They will not be let off this quickly........ no siree.....

And its safe to say any claim they still would have tried making is done and over with, they supposedly disposed of the snakes. You know, those very same live snakes she is probably feeding now......... Go figure :)

This thread blew up rather quickly!

As others have pointed out, those are some awfully nice looking "dead" snakes.

I was behind you from the start, and now that I've dragged myself all the way through this, I'm even firmer about it. There is no question in my mind that you've done the right thing.

Telling you to read and refrain from forcing me to repeat what was already stated is no insult, unless this happens to you often. I had to repeat what was said countless times just for you..... And stating you were having a problem grasping these facts was no insult either.
I don't buy it. You could have answered the questions with much more tact than telling him to learn how to read. "Look more closely at this part of this post," would have been a much more professional way to respond than, "Learn how to read."

This is what I pulled from post #11 which was served with back-handed insults in response to Justin's first round of questions. Your rudeness was very uncalled for in my opinion. Regardless of whether your frustration is justified or not, I don't think that entitles you to belittle people and talk down to them. Considering how big your company is, you should be in the habit of conducting yourself more professionally.

What part of left-on-doorstep did you fail to understand?
Again. Please learn to read so our time here is not wasted. FedEx was contacted directly and the waiver was confirmed.
Yes, it could have. There is sufficient reasonable doubt to support this therefore the claim was denied. You should really learn how to read Justin :)
Again, try readin Justin. I do not appreciate having to repeat myself for those not willing to read information that is already here.
Read, read, read Justin.
That is VERY amusing. This should read.. "This is my opinion based on the information I chose to read, and the information I chose to ignore"
But again, please take the time to actually read in the future.

And this is from post #121.

im not re-reading this garbage for you. thats your job. I repeated myself enough in one day for you...... I feel it is necessary to your education that you do this yourself.
