Lack of any response was my problem with this seller. I'm glad now I didn't get some of the corns, the mites and morphs? would concern me.
The baby "ghosts" look like an anery and a normal maybe miami phase.
 
I am in agreement. Either that's the darkest ghost ever, or it's an anery. We don't produce ghosts here, but we do occasionally buy them for resale, and they have never been THAT dark. And that's no small mite problem. If it had been one or two on the snake, OK easy to overlook. But that cal king is covered with them, I'm just surprised that all the snakes weren't like that. As far as the argument that the snakes were so cheap etc. So what? If I pay any amount of money for an animal, I expect to receive what I ordered. Hopefully he will make good on the agreement, but from his responses it doesn't sound likely. Good luck getting this straightened out and getting the mites controlled.

I am truly appalled by this David! Mites are totally inexcusable for anyone to deal with!! And that ghost is not a ghost!

Do you have the pix saved of the animals that you were supposed to be getting?

Jason, a little thing that I so, is keep a folder of all emails that transpire between all transactions that I do on the net and off. A paper trail is a beautiful thing and reduces the need to ask repeatedly for a shipping address!

Yep, that's the way in which in he shipped them. No paper or styro and a Hot Hands for heat. Though, contrary to his claims of concern for shipping in late November, the temps here were unseasonably warm in the low to mid sixties. If he was so concerned about the animal's well being you'd think he'd either have said wait until the weather was warmer or at least use a styro lined box. The styro should have been used regardless, for additional support for the flimsy paper ream box he used and protection for the animals.

Oh, and I know those aren't Ghosts. I've been breeding Corns for years. The one after shed (left one) looks almost like a Caramel while the other id definitely an Anery.

No Laura, there weren't any pics provided by the seller.

He could easily have checked pay-pal for the address. It's just an excuse. It'll be real interesting to see what this paperwork looks like and if it matches the animal sold to me.
 
Well dandy, much as I have no personal favour for you at all, you did get ripped off here.

jason, you should be refunding a good portion of what was paid. The prices were way to low not to have set of alarm bells for me, but I can see where someone just looking for a good deal may have jumped on them.

With the pictoral evidence you, jason, are TOTALLY busted and REALLY need to do something to make right the theivery you have engaged in.

Perhaps you could also, jason, scan and post those pics and paperwork for the boa.
The corns are not ghosts in my opinion and I, as have many others here with whom I agree, have been producing them for many years.

How To Deal With Complaints
- when confronted with a complaint, insist that it is your first ever...that everybody else sings your praises.
- DENY that is, or ever was, a problem with any of your animals, your packaging, or anything else on YOUR side of the transaction.
- blame the shipper (I don't think I have ever heard the one about UPS transferring the shipment to DHL before)
- If at all possible, tell the customer he is a PIA, and never satisfied...this is know as diversion.
- and, last but not least, make sure god is on your side...after all, who else do you need.

Seriously, though, everything else aside - the "goto church, get right with god" comment was enough to pi$$ me off.

Actually, he shipped the 7 females in one container and the 6 males in another. At least the Kings and the Boa were seperated.

I don't know about 100% refund, that is a bit extreme but I can certainly see 50% as reasonable.

They were fairly cheap to begin with, which should have raised some red flags but I don't think jason, who was wrong wrong wrong, should be refunding all that he stole, er got, from dandy.

jason, your name is not quite so good as mud at this point. If you want to upgrade to dumb as dirt, starting the climb to good guy from below the bottom, where you have squarely planted yourself, you NEED to address this situation. Right quick like too.

Beardies are a closely watched market and any newcomer with the rep you've got here will have a hard time establishing himself as anything other than someone to be avioded.

Just do the right thing and give dandy a 50% refund. You'll look better, he'll be happier and some here will then be willing to give you the benifit of the doubt in the future.

If he doesn't know what a ghost corn is, didn't include the paperwork on the boa like he was supposed to, and sent mite covered animals.....then he overpaid no matter how "cheap" the original price was. From what I gather, David paid $425 for the animals PLUS a paypal fee of $15 which is completely against the TOS of paypal (for what it's worth, that alone would have killed the deal for me) for parasite infested, questionable genetics, and kinks.
If not the full amount, I would say at least half should be refunded to make up for the aggravation of basically not getting anything you paid for, wasting time waiting on deliveries that never occurred as they were supposed to, and added expense that will be incurred treating the mites.

Mites! Argh! I would be ready to bitch slap someone if they sent me an animal with mites. Now you have treat it and all the other animals that were in the box and be extra cautious to avoid it spreading. Make sure those animals are in QT FAR AWAY from your collection.

Always do just in case the off chance that someone like Jason comes along with poor quality animals. Everything I ever pick up gets quarantined far away from the collection.
 
This kind of reptile seller gives us all a black eye and casts suspicion upon every reptile seller. shipping with an uninsulated box with cheap hand warmers is a death sentence for these snakes and is not acceptable under any circumstances. I believe a prompt full refund is in order here. :yesnod:

More than likely a case of someone trying to get rich quick in the reptile trade with no regard towards the snakes that he is selling. :NoNo:
