    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I made the same mistake that Dean did...I didn't approach Maggie directly. My reasons were also the same - her situation, combined with her post thanking everybody for the contributions.
People WERE talking, and apparently more groups were having the same thoughts than any of us were aware of. It WOULD have been nice if we had found each other, compared notes, and been able to prevent this outcome...but how often does that happen :shrug01:.

He is obviously disgusted - that being said, he said christina and jeff are at least looking at wire fraud, theft and forgery - he said they may have at least 3 or 4 felonies against them, but needs to look through more of the stuff. He is going to send me the most recent statute so I can review and see exactly what needs to be done.

He also suggested that we go to the media - what do you all think? He gave me the name and the number of a reporter here and also suggested that they may have a "sister" channel in Michigan, etc.

Not so unusual actually. I've posted several threads over there about animals being stolen, and apparently they weren't worthy enough to be seen by anyone but the mod that denied it. And I been contributing there for years too. I don't think I'll continue though. Sorry Natas. :shrug01:

Try this one Brother. 810.836.5414 It's the number they called me from yesterday. Should have PM'd you to get a hold of me when you were close, so I could give it to you then. But I get "involved" with my job sometimes and it slipped my mind.

In the future, get the number of the Sheriff or police or what ever, and ask them to "assist you" in animal recovery. They'll likely meet you somewhere and go over the details first, then come right along with you. And OH the look on their faces as you walk up and knock on the door, and they open it and see you and the police. Woulda been priceless Bro.

Jeff, I am going to be right to the point, take your pants off Christina and put them back on. Why are you having her, a young girl do all of the talking here. You are a grown man, start acting like one. Honestly, I like when Christina posts in here because she just keeps opening herself up to federal charges by self incrimination.

Dont you think its time to man up and begin to handle this problem for YOUR family? Do you honestly want to lose your 4 children over 3500.00? Want to see your wife behind bars? I am not asking you to post here, but, I would like a response to my email that I sent you. I also do not want Christina to respond to it as I would rather talk to you man to man.

Get this straight right here though... I am not here to bail you out. But I do want to talk to you about a solution to your problem. You need to solve this because it will not go away. Its blatantly obvious that if you truly didnt care, you would not be coming back here and reading this thread.

Take this as fair warning, if you continue to avoid this, criminal charges will be pressed by me and guess what, I havent done anything to you that I have to account for so you cant use the "oh you are gonna be in trouble too" line with me;). All I want is to see Maggie and Rick get the funds WE donated to them, not you.
 
The four children they have together in their household are not all offspring of just the two of them, from what I can tell. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

I know FC can't do the auctions or sales, but can there maybe be a separate thread or section posted somewhere that only sales where proceeds go to Maggie and family can be posted???
I know I have plenty of geckos I need to sell and would be more than willing to put at least one in that section...

I did give a teeny tiny amount to Maggie the other day. I just feel so bad for her and those kids....I want to do more. I wish I could help them.

I was going to ask about that, because I do know the MOMENT they open a case, any and all children involved must not leave the state. If they do leave the state, when caught, the children will be removed until ALL pending investigations are resolved. Which can take years.

They would be better off, IMO

It seems that every time this sort of thing happens in the reptile community we all get on here and say how they will get theirs but it never seems to happen and i think that is what the wise's are banking on. Did the people involved contact proper authorities and demand some attention to this matter? Did anyone file with small claims court? they probably wouldn't even show and you'd automatically win. If all of that has happened and still no results, I live 20 minutes from them, if 5 of you or so will come with me and we can get their address we can first knock and see whos home and if they are in the mood to hand over some animals (someone bring a camera for that one). or 2 stand there on public side walks with signs until we get some media attention. Point is lets do something and do it now. If anyone is interested in doing this or can think of anyway i can help pm me, we can meet at my house and head over there.

Well, that and it's a fake check! I am sure they read on here that the person who posted their check that has routing and account information on it could get in trouble(I remember reading that somewhere in the thread) That might be the case IF the check was REAL.
 
just an observation... someone said they didnt think this couple was a con artist.... and that the greed just got to them and they took advantage of the situation.

If that was the case.... then they would do what is need to right the wrong. A con artist thinks there is nothing wrong with what they do... and thus no need to make it right.

We could all meet in the Fauna Chat room and discuss this in real time. There would be no way for them to see what was being said without us knowing they were right there.
