    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I presume they have families, friends & a community who are not yet aware of their scuminess. It's only a very short matter of time before those family members, community and law enforcement knows all about your thievery and fraud because payback is such a (censored). I promise.

No, the members of the forum will NOT let this rest. The members will NOT let this pass, the members will NOT overlook the obvious scam and phony check.

Just like you Dean I had the intuition that something wasn't right with the Wise's handling the auctions because any auctions won could have been paid directly to Maggie and or Rick.


I can say the two snakes I auctioned were paid to the Wises from Kelley Boone aka skdzb and Shadera Lorrain aka MagickalMorphs.


I'm really sorry I didn't question the Wises on why they wanted funds sent to them and not directly to the Maggie & Rick. :angry: :bandhead0


Christine also contacted me via pm looking to trade web design for BP's, I'm glad I turned her down.

Well idk I'm guessing since we all agree the donated money was for Maggie, supposed to be sent to Maggie, and belongs to Maggie well then it seems they flat out stole money from Maggie. Seems the law would get involved pretty quick, am I right??
 
I, too, began to suspect things weren't on the up and up a while back (probably when they started shopping :ack2: ). I came right out and asked Rick how much money he received from those auctions, and his story then was the same as the one he outlined tonight. I didn't ask Maggie the same question because I didn't want to intrude, since Chuck had just passed...and she had posted how grateful she was for the donations.
When they made the post about the auctions, I asked about the distribution of the funds...and never got a response.

Christina sent me several messages last evening, stating her outrage at the accusations & asserting her innocence. She also said that she would be posting proof that all monies were sent

Steve, Christina ACTUALLY thought I was being distant and that I mad at her because she bought some snakes that I showed a lot of interest in. What she didnt realize was that I was sending emails and was calling her out on her BS stories. I wont get into it only because I dont want to involve other people that I sent emails to regarding this but I still have then if they are ever necessary.

She was spending way too much money on stuff they had no business or the funds to buy. Cant talk about how poor you are when you drop 1k on some BPs, buy new OS's, cell phones, rack building materials, etc... Its definitely gonna be a red flag to someone like me who befriended them.

They started the auctions.
As to who let them - they asked permission & were told that, while the site would not officially sanction or promote them, there was no rule against a member auctioning animals/goods/services.
 
Well maybe we should all give them a little "not so nice" karma. And some rating, so the people they are gonna buy from will know they are stealing scumballs and buying with stolen money? But then again it might get us banned..

I'm surprised Rich has not kicked them off here so they can't be shipping around after what they did, ugh the nerve these two have..
 
Don't even know what to say. Total shock. I thought it was such a great thing. Them looking out for families in such need,coordinating the auctions,being a friend,shoulder to cry on...
I am so angry and disappointed. I can't believe they thought this would go unnoticed!
So sorry for Maggie. All the love and comfort she felt from this forum and its people...to have that feeling taken away by such :censored: Totally unforgivable for them to hurt her after what she was already put through.
So many people tried so hard and gave from their hearts only to be taken advantage of. Just disgusting.
I do agree that this must be the ultimate BOI post. How can they possibly have the stomach to look at anything on this site that is for sale? How can they ever "show" their face on here again after doing something so horrible? :angry: Obviously no remorse or conscience. I feel they should have a lifelong ban.

I hope someone can find a way to get justice for Maggie and the people here who gave and tried to do the right thing for two families and instead paid the Wise's friggin' light bill.

I want to thank all of you and apologize to you for taking what you could and trying to help me and the kids and getting screwed. There is no person on this earth that is lower than someone who would do this. I'm too tired right now to remember everything, but I'll come back tomorrow and type more. Again, I'm sorry, I feel bad because I know that these "auctions, donations, etc." never work and it's a shame, because THEY, not just her, stole from all of us and THEY benefited from my husband's death, from the fact that my children no longer have their father. She better hope I never meet up with her on the street.
 
Oh so then she lied to me when she said SHE was the one taking care of it all and the money ect.. and said I was not allowed to do an auction, how confusing either way?? Twit.. I felt bad too cause I really wanted to help out..
 
Maggie, If you need ANYTHING during this ordeal, please let me or my wife know. We will do what we can. I am so sorry that you are having to relive this ordeal, yet again.
 
I don't believe I missed this thread before now, but like everyone, I am in complete shock. At the time of the auctions, I was strapped for cash so I donated a book that meant a lot to me. I am fuming, to say the very least.

If they do not IMMEDIATELY send monies owed, I would certainly be willing to donate for a lawsuit.

Completely disgusted :angry:

I am so sorry, I can only imagine the hurt and betrayal you are feeling. You and the kids don't need this mess but we are still here behind you in whatever capacity we can be.
