In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Jeff and Christina Wise (Wise Reptiles) Stole Money from Benefit Auctions for Maggie

Well now I feel even worse for being slow in filing~ I hadn't read crotalusadamanteus rant until chongorojo quoted it. I thought I had gotten everything important done before the surgery and was so proud of myself, but I had put this off for last and did forget about it. Sorry.

Southern Wolf~ I filed yesterday. I sent the complaint ID and the password to Dand~ but if you need it:
Complaint Id: I1006050901500931
I will not post the password on a public forum. I'm not sure what that allows other than veiwing the complaint~ but posting passwords just seems stupid.

I did not get your email with the 23 pages for my police department. If you send it I will try to go to my PD on Tuesday~ I've got a ride to a DR appt Tuesday so if my ride will stop I'll get it done. Otherwise I can't. I'm not allowed to drive for another week and a half.

No worries Cheryl. I hope you are feeling better or will soon at least. With all the additional crap in this thread is is difficult to keep up with things even when trying to. (You missed my rant before Rick's rant ;)) You filing an IC3 complaint is appreciated and if you can make it to your local Police on Tuesday it would be greatlyappreciated. My cut off of Wednesday of next week doesn't mean that it still can't be done after that. I'm pushing for a sooner than later kind of time line and not a deadline.

For everyone, just so you're prepared, your local Police may not be all that ready to make a report for what they have called small amounts of money. I'd suggest if you have troubles with whoever you start with, get their name and then ask for their supervisor. If you still hit a brick wall a call to the Mayor's office may make you some headway especially when reporting the Officer(s) who did not do their job of taking your report.

So let's get it together and keep things on track.

Good post.

An idea: This is a loooong thread. Is there a possibility that a stickied list at the top, or somewhere else, could be made to include

1) What people can do who were involved in the donation process
2) What other people can do who have time and/or skills to offer who were not involved in the donation process.

There are several people who have stepped forward and acted as leaders and have done a ton of work, and I think we owe them thanks.

This process is a long way from being over, and surely those who still want to help out could have a chance to do so. A concrete easy to find list of how to help might be a good way for those who have stepped up to be leaders to organize community effort. Just an idea.

Actually I asked someone to start a User Created Social Group which has been done but I have yet to check it out since I asked. If someone has the link to it would they please post is again (I cannot find what Word document I have it on at the moment and I have more than enough pages already open and if I open anymore my computer is going to protest more than it already is doing) so I can post what Lucille is speaking of. Hopefully that can stay focused and on track unlike this thread.

Not sure if this went through in emails, so I'll post it here for those working on these things.

IC3 Complaint Id: I1005251404210671

Thanks for the info Kevin. I'm working with my local PD and the state after I was contacted from the IC3 complaint, but it's slow going. I'm hoping this will help!

That most certainly was not intended for you Cheryl... I hope you get to feeling better from the surgery. I posted this more so as a ding to those that donated or won auctions, I belive they have the biggest voice in all this and need to get moving. A big thanks from me to David, Rick and Kevin for being the sharks in the water!

You guys rock!

Well it looks like I have gone through all my e-mails and pm's and the ones that were posted here and I have only 11 IC3 complaints to date (plus one, mine). That's just less than 25% of the 43 overall participants who were involved in the auctions and the 6 people who just donated cash.

I'm just not understanding this. A few yes or no, a few multiple choice and a few in your own words sections and you're done.

By my counting there were 49 people overall who donated items and or money so why aren't all these people making complaints that their money or proceeds from their donated item(s) were stolen by the Wises? Why are they sitting by and letting this go? We got together to help Maggie, Rich and their families out and look what we accomplished, $6,786.62 collected of which the Wises have walked away with $4,746.62, approximately 70%. That is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!

I would really like to get the remaining 37 e-mails with IC3 complaints. That e-mail address if you don't have it is, [email protected]

Should be two people for each auction filing. One who donated, and one who won the auction and sent the money to Jeff and Christine. And any who donated money outright to Jeff and Christine for Maggie should be filing as well.

David, since you are bearing the majority of the weight, and have all the info compiled, keep track of who did or did not file their complaint. I for one would like to know just who helped out in this, and who couldn't be bothered, just for future reference.

More people have given money to Maggie since this all came to light and it would be really great if she could get what was due her in the first place.

I am really disappointed that everyone could come on here and state how upset they were and not take care of this.
Is is possible that those who have not submitted are not aware of the situation? OR have they posted on this thread?

Can their names be listed so they know that the complaint/paperwork has not been received by you? Might help for numerous reasons! It is very odd, they went the extra mile to donate or win an auction and now they won't see this to the end.

If Maggie & Rich provided all the information gathered and presented their cases to their local authorities, Flint authorities and through IC3 that should be more than sufficient.

Rather than going after donors for not filing~ maybe try privately emailing them~ most of us have our email address's linked in our profiles~ or PMing them to remind them. I had honestly forgotten~ I had so many things going on that even though I was outraged this occurred~ and even mentioned to my husband I needed to do it. I got busy and forgot. It wasn't until I happened to find myself with nothing to do because of physical restrictions that I remembered I was supposed to have done the report already.

Try contacting the donors. Obviously we are not bad people~ we donated~ but some of us are very busy and I'll admit it....a bit flakey

So I guess I shouldn't hold my breath waiting for your IC3 complaint then, huh? And what if it's not sufficient enough? What if it takes 20 or 25 complaints before the powers that be get off their asses to do something? "Should" isn't going to cut it with me. I want to make sure the Wises get what they deserve.

Oh, and how are Maggie and Rich supposed to get this information to Flint? Because if you are not aware, they won't take complaints over the phone. They have to be done in person.

Can their names be listed so they know that the complaint/paperwork has not been received by you?

While I advocate for activism, and with all due respect for the suggestion, I do not think publicly listing names is a good idea. Those who cannot for some reason, or will not issue a complaint, will still not be likely to do so if a list is created, but the listing process itself may create a chilling effect for some people when it comes to future community efforts.

I see no harm in compiling a nonpublished list and sending pms, however. It may be a fruitful reminder to some who are willing to issue a complaint, but have not yet done so.

I agree that listing the names might not be a good idea. Just thought I would toss it out there. I just can't figure why they wont do this unless they don't know about it. :shrug01:

If you give me a list of names I can try and get email addresses so I can PM them for you if you want.
I know a few have done so much. I hate sitting here not being able to help.

I intend to contact everyone but I would have thought (hoped) I would have had a lot more doing it without me asking them to do it. I've been going through this thread gathering information as well as many other sources (e-mail, pm, etc...) and had hoped those pieces of the puzzle I am putting together would have been falling in to place. Now I have to go and collect the last pieces. It makes it a lot easier to make out the picture in a puzzle if you have all the pieces.

The way I see it is Maggie & Rich should file Police reports to their local authorities and through IC3, I must of missed that they can't file a complaint over the phone to Flint but a phone call wouldn't hurt? I may have missed it but I'm curious if Maggie & Rick made such official complaints?

I'm not saying I won't file a complaint but I think if Maggie & Rick presented their cases we are all witnesses and can back up their claims.

The authorities might just be pissed off by having multiple non authoritative people doing their job and blow this case off? After all the Wises haven't been arrested with the prove that has already been provided :shrug01:

Steve,

It would be easier and quicker on all parties involved if you just filed the complaint versus me explaining everything again or what was wrong with your last paragraph. Please just file the complaint and get me your complaint number.

It could be that they didnt see all the information in the thread as well. 200 pages is a lot to go through and some of the information isnt until the last 20 pages or so. I remember someone mentioning a site being made or forum link, something along those lines, with all the information that will be needed. Maybe the first post in this thread can have the link added to it along with the people who are gathering the complaint numbers adding it to their forum signatures? Just an idea.

Dave,

E-mail me the info you want me to include in the IC3 complaint, you should have my e-mail address but if not pm me.

I'm not trying to be an @$$ but I would like to know if Maggie & Rick filed complaints to their local authorities and IC3?
