Cat, it's not deep. You should be able to understand it. My daugher could understand it at 12. You took offense (an emotion), labeled my opinion by calling it "Stupid" (an impluse response) and want to convince someone that you are operating from logic and common sense?

But I don't think it's "sexist" to state what I have observed. For example: How many women stay with a man who's no good for them, "Because I love him?" Think back on the countless decisions that women have made and see if you can honestly support the belief that most of women's decisions are NOT made from emotions.
We have many good qualities. But IMO, most/some however many... do tend to make decisions from emotions. If we recognize this, we can counteract it. If we refuse to recognize this weakness we are forever stuck making decisions that are not in our best interest.
We are raised to be emotional..HELL we are the mothers, the caregivers, the primary response we have is LOVE.
