Yes, you can do whatever you'd like with the snakes you purchased. Negotiation is OK but you have to be open about it. Not turn around and have a several hundred percent profit and deceive first about the destinity of the animals, second about their age. It's not about making money at any cost; it's about business ethics.

in addition to providing care for the well being of the animals in question....its the american way to negotiate and try to get a lower price....dont you people try to talk someone down on the price before you agree on the final sale?.....

get real.....people worldwide, respect my knowledge of candoia....they are willing to pay a bit more because it comes with my expertise attached....as far as the guy with the $75 price quote....he wanted a light phase single specimen....i had found a few small anoles and the snake that he wanted had already eaten....

i use ups shipping next day air....ups has raised their price once again as of january first....the box i was planning to use would have cost me approximately $60 - $75 to ship

So in order to maintain the reputation you had, you want BW to maintain your MO in secret. You can do as you wish with the snakes you bought, right? BW can do as he wishes with the information at hand, and he did it.

Wow...so because you are from New York, it's ok to lie, cheat and steal? None of your excuses that you blow off as "New Yorker negotiation" justifies a) renegotiating after the deal was made and the seller graciously shipped before being paid not because the animals were any different than what you expected, but just to weasel a few bucks out of someone who as far as you are concerned actually IS on a moral high horse. Being on the moral high horse isn't a bad thing and can only be ridiculed by those slithering around down in the manure UNDER said high horse.

So..to recap what I have seen and heard here and to explain my stance that you are a liar, cheater and theif...

Lies: 1-convincing BW that he is sending his snakes to someone who will take care of them...not toss them into the pet trade. BW's goal was to get them to someone experienced in getting them feeding in hopes of improving their chances of survival.

2- Lying about the age of the snakes on your ad.

Cheating: You used the advantage you gained from getting the animals first to cheat BW out of 100 bucks. Again, thinking the animals were going to a great home and helping out a fellow breeder/herper swayed him into succumbing to your "New York Negotiation".

Stealing: well...cheating someone out of money is the same as stealing in any book.

There really was nothing to resolve. I called you as a courtesy to express my displeasure and to hear your side rather than having you blind sided by a thread. Let me clarify that it was not the fact that price was negotiated. It was that we had agreed on a price, then he tried to lowball me to 1/4 of the agreed price AFTER he received them and prior to payment. There is definitely nothing wrong with negotiations on the front end.

Jerry, I do not know you, but your actions according to others, and the way you are handling yourself here, paints a picture of a self wallowing bottom feeder.

If you said you would buy a pair of adults, especially if part of the deal was you getting babies pretty much for free, and then you renegotiate the price after you already have the snakes, that is a bad guy in my book. Unless there is a good reason to not pay the agreed upon price, mites, ticks, RI, etc., once you have the snakes, you pay for them. Your business ethics leave ALOT to be desired.
