    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Tresser is welcome, no ENCOURAGED, to visit a lawyer. Jerry, please, please, please go waste your money trying to sue me. PLEASE.

He needs to be taught about libel and slander because he has no clue what they are. He cannot sue me for anything I have said. His attempt at intimidation will not work. If anyone here is ever threatened by someone like him, don't fall for it. It is total BS. You cannot be sued for stating the truth or your opinion. You can only be sued if you purposely lie. For instance, I cannot be sued for stating that in my opinion someone is a jerk, unethical, a liar, etc...I can be sued for stating that I saw them eat kittens and rape babies. (unless they actually did those things and I can prove it.)

While he's at the lawyers office, he should give him/her copies of every one of our email correspondences and then ask him/her what breach of contract is. I"m sure the lawyer will explain to Jerry that contracts can be as simple as a note jotted down on a scrap of paper...or an email stating someone is going to send out replacement flies.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the lawyer explains to him what's really going on here and who is actually in a position to sue who.

I just want to say excellent post Dennis .We all will blow it some time or the other ,but it is what we do when it goes wrong ,and I think Jerry has spent too many years tossing rocks from that glass house .If you have any kind of confidence in your packaging and packing skills ,you should be able to offer a REASONABLE Live arrival guarantee .

I agree ,those flies shouldn't have been shipped ,if the proper packaging and shipping supplies like a heat pack ,were not going to be used .I am sure there many ways to mute the heat generated by a heat pack if that is why there was not one used .Either way ,a partial refund seems like a reasonable request .I think trying to prove a point got the better of Jerry here ,and the only point made wasn't a good one .

There is a big difference between those fruit flies and the ones people use for feeding.

Alexandrina - if you still need flies PM me your address. I have plenty of cultures of the melanogaster. I will happily send you some to get you through.

Jerry, see how EASY it would have been for you to avoid this negative exposure. But you've already made it pretty clear that you could care less about your "small" customers.

The Dart Frog hobby prides itself on cultivating a network of locations of hobbyists and gatherings / meetings where it is so easy to arrange a pick up or drop off of Fruit Flies or Isopods, Springtails or Bean beetles.

I've ordered from Jerry and directed many a SoFl Dart Frog hobbyist to him and this is the first bad experience that I've heard.

That said....if you need FF and have Dart Frogs - join a forum (like Dart Den.com) and you should never be more than an hour away from picking up FF from someone.

Its been well over a year ,not sure what the purpose is . Its an unfortunate problem that every now and then every buisness will have a problem one way or another. this is the business we chose. I wish we could satisfy everone but from time to time some issues are not resovable.

this is just one person who for whatever reason seem to feel its necessary to continue a thread that was very well documented , and dealt with. Sometimes it does not work well, and sometimes it does. There are graveyards full of much more serious uncompromised BOI concerns.

Enough said and I do hope you understand CJ Reptiles it nothiing but a unnecessary flame that serves no useful purpose...

Please define "dealt with". I don't recall seeing the OP posting to say that you decided to make good on your initial offer to replace the dead flies. Maybe it's just me, but I don't really equate sweeping something under the rug with having "dealt with" it, at least not properly.

Well, no purpose aside from bringing an ostensibly unresolved issue back into the spotlight. I suppose I can understand why you wouldn't find that very useful, but I think others may be inclined to disagree.

Oh he dealt with it. He blamed me for my posts #14 and #15 and everybody else for the OP getting nothing.

Here is the last portion of a long winded message he sent to me after this thread first started about how the moderators here are a joke and we shouldn't be allowed to post our opinions. How he was never going to contribute to this site again because of my posts above.
Its a postion that I would find occuring with the likes Jeff Barringer..... You are a major dissapointment as well the other bandwagon attendees.... It is for that reason and that reason alone that Sandra will receive nothing... :That is your accomplishment.... JERRY

Besides that, he ranted that people were afraid to post because we would ban them. Well, he is still here and he stated some pretty unflattering things about me in that message. He didn't get any infractions or a ban. We don't do that on this site. Only for not following the rules would you have to worry about that.

So he didn't give a refund and as he stated its our fault not the original poster who he had a transaction with.

It had nothing to do with right or wrong of the transaction itself but the mere fact that we posted on a thread about him. It shouldn't of happened because he has contributed so much to this site. :rolleyes:

Gotta love it when someone changes their self-serving story to try to roll with the punches. From dumb to dumber. His first post in this thread clearly indicates that he'd already chosen to renege on his offer to remedy his shipping negligence. That was only the fifth post in this thread, before the "bandwagon attendees" had anything negative to say. And afterwords, he decides that 3rd party comments are his justification for not honoring his offer.

Apparently, if anyone complains about his piss-poor ethics, whether it be the buyer or a 3rd party, the buyer suddenly forfeits any right to recompense. Way to inspire confidence in potential customers. :thumbsup:

They look like rationalizations that Bobby Hill would have made, at least while he was still half-heartedly trying to cling to his last shred of perceived legitimacy, by deigning to respond at all.

So..since she had legitimate reasons to believe that you had no intentions of following through with reimbursement, her punishment was for you to prove her absolutely correct on all counts. Hell of a display of business acumen. Can't imagine why someone that's been made to wait for two months would feel like they're being jerked around...:rolleyes:
