Here is the last portion of a long winded message he sent to me after this thread first started about how the moderators here are a joke and we shouldn't be allowed to post our opinions. How he was never going to contribute to this site again because of my posts above.

Well, that will certainly be a crushing blow to the financial state of this site, considering that he has made two contributions to this site back in 2005 and 2006 for a then existing $10 membership.....

Your note to Dennis has quite a bit to do with this thread. You apparently communicated with him dissing Fauna moderators and how you were not going to contribute because of Dennis' posts (which by the way, generally are well reasoned and have a lot of insight).
That post to Dennis was unreasonable, and here you are again dissing Fauna.
You've made some bad choices and are continuing to choose to treat people badly and to flaunt disrespect for the site.
People have every right to see the big picture so they can make future decisions about whether they want to deal with you.

Well, when you choose to throw a tantrum and reference your previous contributions, while subsequently threatening to discontinue future financial support, your own actions have given it relevance. Back to that modus operandi thing.

The PM that Dennis quoted, where you apparently chose to bring your past contributions into play, adds to the list of verifiable examples of your lack integrity, and, more specifically, your willingness to completely change your story to suit your needs. As you did when you clearly changed your rationalizations regarding why you chose to withhold the refund that the OP of this thread so clearly deserved.

Not to mention that it simply gives more evidence of how absolutely petty and vindictive you are. You've definitely excelled at expressing your more loathsome personality traits, in both this thread, and your new Bad Guy thread.

I think Rich's post in a similar Good-Guy-gone-bad thread, may have more relevance than your own self-serving interpretation of why some may not frequent or support this site. It'd certainly go a long way in explaining your own recent lack of support.

Were they, perhaps, hoping that by not helping that a place where THEIR dirty laundry might be aired some day would just go away?

Excuse myself because of what? A statement was quoted implying that you were a much larger contributor here than was really the case, and I felt that showing the truth by displaying actual facts might be relevant.

As for some people preferring to not advertise here on my site, heck I don't need them here. Early on it would have been nice to have more support, but this site survived, regardless.

I have heard from a lot of those people that something really needs to be done about the scammers in this industry, but how many of them have actually DONE something, ANYTHING, about it? There is no other site out there anywhere doing more to help people avoid costly mistakes by mistakenly trusting in scammers. So what does it tell you when you look to see who is actually supporting this effort?

Quite frankly, I think most of those people fear the fact that they might have their dirty laundry uncovered and posted here some day and there isn't a damned thing they can do about buying protection with their advertising dollars. They can't get a thread deleted. They can't get classified ads pulled because someone is undercutting their prices. Sorry, but my integrity in how I run this site is not for sale. Yeah, they likely hate the fact that I will treat the biggest breeder exactly the same as the smallest concerning how I run this site. And yes, I have had big advertisers stop advertising when some unflattering news about them broke here. I guess they felt that I should be punished for allowing such news to reach the public. Sorry, but we are STILL here, regardless.

So you do have to ask yourself, Jerry, WHY would such people wish for this site to go away?

I guess it's just a damned pity for them that I really don't need their advertising dollars. There are enough people who DO support this site with advertising and membership fees that it has become self sufficient and will quite likely stay that way. I've never thought I would get rich with this site, and I still don't. I don't care about that sort of thing. I just hoped it would help me financially in my retirement. So I set my goals reasonably low enough to making hitting it possible to do.

So if they thought they could sink the BOI with the lack of their presence and $$, well too bad for them. WE don't need THEM. And when they slip up, or perhaps even go the route of some good guys we have seen go bad, the BOI will be here to give people an avenue to let others know about it. And sometimes even get a resolution to their problem that would not be forthcoming in any other way.

And if those facts scare away big advertisers, then so be it. I am quite comfortable with the tradeoff.

Sometimes you can have the most positive reputation in the world and have the highest quality animals, but if you can't deal with trouble shooting or making customers happy, then you should probably rethink your hobbies or business and review what the Golden Rule is.

Potential customers and colleagues use this site as a litmus test for future transactions and interactions. Unless your attitude drastically changes, I can guarantee that your economics will be impacted a heck of a lot more than any kind of impact you can make on this site in retribution.

This is absolutely true. I just started getting into breeding mantids and was looking for a fruit fly supplier. Now I know who I am *not* buying from. Ever. YIKES.

After reading a few threads involving Jerry, I'm extremely glad that I don't require fruit flies. lucky for me he doesn't seem to deal in rodents. I also noticed that my 12 year old is way better at talking her way out of trouble. She at least manages to keep her story straight.
Sandra I hope your critters faired well despite what you went through with Jerry. I would suggest that anyone looking to do business with him in the future, look up the profile for a sociopath. He meets 90% of what to watch for, IMO.
