Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am trying to reach Jim Burns (jim0602) requarding balance due for bird. On 04/13/04 Jim agreed to trade a Goffin Cockatoo chick for a male Goffin breeder the chicks were due to hatch in about 3 weeks so I said ok. After about 4 weeks he said the chick had died and would send a check I said ok thanks. About 2 weeks passed still nothing. Made contact with jim again said sorry must not have been mailed I will be going to the St. Roberts show this weekend will be coming through there can deliver money I said ok thanks just call me when you get close I will meet you at I-44 said ok by. Sunday came never called tried calling never reached him. Got him through email and said would send again through mail. Never arrived, Reached him on 06/29/04 he I will send it today through Fedex it will be there on 07/01/04 I will send conformation number to you tonight. I agreeded and waited nothing and havent been able to get him on the phone or through email. I am looking or his home phone and address. I dont expect anyone to give it to me but if you could email me with your info or I can send you mine if you email me I will put you in contact with the local courts. I will be filing against him on Monday 07/05/04 and would apriciate any help. I can provide anyone interested in the emails and the contract signed by Jim to show that this is legit before they give any info I am new to the BOI because I have never had this problem through here before.

why don't you pull your head out and check with the people you had me send payment to ???? if and i say if you gave me the correct address the second time you gave it to me then they got it last friday at the latest.

You said you sent it fedex and You never sent me a tracking number. You say you sent the package to my wife at our business it never arrived. I have been more than patient and you refuse to answer your phone. If I do not have payment by noon Monday I will be filing against you in court and reporting the bird stolen. You say you have proof were ? you never sent me a tracking number ? you wont answer your phone ? and you always have a excuse like I am busy. you didnt show up when we were suposed to meet. if you are telling the truth send me the your address and we can settle it in court and you can then sue me for slander because I am calling you a thief til you prove otherwise and I will be coming to ever show I can just to stand at your both and show people what you do. Since posting this I have had people tell me they will deal with you but they only do in person and sameday for this reason. I thought you were honest and could be trusted because you were here and had been a active member but I guess I was wrong. Thanks Rob Malcom
 
I have tried to call you around 5 times today ? one just now. still no answer but when I call and we have a deal worked out you always answer till after it was suposed to have arrived. I even tried it a few times after I talk to you and you say I will send it today or tomorrow I can call back almost anytime that day and you answer but after a few days you disapear again and say I have been so busy. and when I tell you I can meet you you say I cant have to work. but you always seem to have time to travel and collect and go to shows why is that ? I think paying debts would be top on list of things to do. but thats just me I am honest. Thanks Rob

Maybe I've not had enough coffee, or perhaps I don't fully understand the problem, but here's my thoughts. A tracking number, posted on this forum for all to see, is a benign thing that should only serve to settle things for most people. That way, anyone who wishes can look it up and see how/where it wound up. It just seem a shame to me that these 2 guys wind up on here and the best outcome that seems to be coming of it is a drawn out court battle over some BS that could be solved a whole lot quicker. Both say that they're right. Jim's supposed to have the tracking number but won't post it. Something just isn't right with this scenario as it would solve the issue quickly.

Guys, is there more to this than either of you is letting on at this time? Jim, if you did send the money, then just post the tracking number (and if a MO, then the company and receipt number) so that the world can see...otherwise it doesn't look good on your part.

Again, just my thoughts.

i have never stated here that i sent it fedex..that was my intention but they closed on thursday before i could get there so i went to the airport which is only 3 miles away and dropped it at the post office.post master there told me it should arrive the short distance away(joplin 100 miles) on friday but would be saturday at the latest.he now says this is his wifes work that he had me send pmnt.to.i am willing to bet that it arrived on sat.in which the busisness is probabaly closed on and so she will find it tomorrow if there closed today.

Payment

It was suposed to have been mailed TUESDAY and arrive THURSDAY not mailed then. I checked the mail Saturday and it was not there. I am siply trying to collect money owed as anyone here would. I had hoped that Jim and I could have many dealings together and even told him of a deal you might be interested in just a few weeks ago ! I am trying really hard and have been very nice on the phone and understanding of problems arising but I am in this to make money. Thanks Rob

I actually gave him 2 address because he said first one must have been lost. 2nd address is our business and I know the mail doesnt get lost. thanks

This is one reason that I always suggest sending any type of payment using a method that allows a tracking number as well as online tracking. It's worth it, at least to me, if using the Post Office to send any payment Express Mail since these have individually identifiable tracking numbers and money back guarantees if they don't deliver on time. While it doesn't really resolve this particular issue, it's worth keeping in mind for the future.

I agree I will even take payment through paypal. I just want to get this resolved as soon as possible. I send everything registered so it can be tracked if a deal is not done in person. thanks Rob Malcom
 
Suggestion

Since this all managed to take place over a holiday weekend, may I suggest that all parties remain calm for another couple of days until all mail has had ample opportunity to travel the distance required. (There's also a procedure for reporting lost mail and recovering monetary losses involved.) I know that while we live only 135 miles or so from my parents mail has been known to arrive in a day and sometimes take as long as 4 or even 5 days. If you combine that with a holiday which federal/state agencies extended into the weekdays and...you get the idea. Let's hope that everything resolves by Wednesday's mail time.

Payment

I hope it is to ! but i am skeptical because this is the 3rd time it was suposed to have been mailed but hope it is the holidays that have it delayed and if it is I will gladly apoligize to Jim but i have yet to see the MO or see will have to wait an see. Thanks Rob Malcom
 
Why would someone agree

to meet someone in court for non payment if they claim they already sent the money.

It seems to make common sense that some form of receipt should be kept of the payment, or the shipping . I have my doubts after reading this thread . But be prepared for the worse.
