In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Info Joe Bryant (Fastz28) use caution!

I tried calling you a few times. When I texted you you texted back that "theres no way he was pakaged so good was the box sealed". Prior to that the last I had ard from you was that you were going to send me a tracking number, that never happened. I have been a member for a little while now and have never started a thread here on the BOI and notice I didn't call you a Bad Guy. I am saying it was not properly packed and the animal escaped.
I paid for an animal and never received it. It was not properly packed and was shipped 2 day both of which contributed to the animal escaping. I am not calling you a scammer, what I am saying is you as the shipper did not fullfil your obligation and I should be reimbersed.

That's it exactly, Joe, just refund his money and mark it as a lesson learned.

Was that bag really big enough for a 5 foot retic? Looking at the pics he had of it, it looks too big around to have squeezed through a hole like that without pushing the box out like crazy. :shrug01: Given the 2 day shipping, a claim by the seller that there's insurance on the package (oh, it didn't get there? File a claim and get your money back from them!), a bag with a huge obvious gap when the rest is snug, and the holes that lean in, I'm starting to wonder if you just flat out got taken.

That's how it looks from here.

Joe, I'm not going to start cussing at you (nothing constructive comes from it). I believe you thought you were doing right in how you packed and shipped that snake, but it wasn't packed correctly and consequently the snake managed to escape before arriving here. Now, I would like to be reimbersed for the snake I did not get.

Looking at that box, I seriously doubt you have a legal live reptile shipping waiver on file with fedex. Even if they DID insure live animals, which they don't, I doubt they'd be very happy to hear how negligent you were if there was indeed an animal in that box.

Refund Greg's money.

snake wragler you can suck my #*@%

Joe,

First of all you should watch how you talk about someone I personally know would not try to scam someone. Greg is one of the most trusted people in this business (in my opinion) I have dealt with Greg on numerous occasions and I will continue to use him as my "go-to" guy. Those of us that know better know how to ship reptiles and I do have to say that was a piss poor pack job. When I send snakes out I make sure that I use the tie on the bag as well as a zip tie just under that so there is no way for the snake to get out. All everyone is saying is do the right thing here and refund the money. A customer should not suffer for a lack of education on the sellers end. If you were unsure as to how to ship all you would have to do is ask someone. We all need to learn somewhere.
Make things right we have enough problems going on now that we do not need other issues within the industry.

and I will hang unto the box for you and if I can help I will, again I'm not calling you a "Bad Guy". There was an unfortunate event that took place before arriving here, but I shouldn't have to pay for it.

will put in for claim with fedex

Mr. Bryant,

That is all well and good, but the money this gentleman should be recieving back for an animal he did not recieve should not have to be postponed for a claim. The insurance placed on packages is for the seller, not for the buyer. The honorable thing for you to do here would be to refund him his money and seek reimburstment for yourself via the claims ticket.

I am willing to believe you thought that the packaging job you did was adequate, but it is plainly obvious that such is not the case. Instead of being defensive about it, as Greg did not call you a bad guy, he just put up an inquiry form, just be proactive about this.

Take responsibility for your actions, learn a simple lesson from it and refund the man his money. It will save face for you and make him much happier. I too would suggest looking up on shipping practices as the manner in which the animal was packed and shipped (not doing overnight is unacceptable under any cirucmstances within the boundaries of national shipping within the United States). This will help from situations like this arising in the future.

Make your claims, but refund Greg his money. You can get it back via the insurance, but it is not fair to make him wait for that.

You are the seller. You packaged the animal. You should handle it however you like with the shipping company but you should refund your buyer's funds first.

Joe Bryant, are you certified by FedEx to ship reptiles?
If he was he would no better. Nothing done in this shipment according to the agreement.

no heat pack its 77 degreess and only warmer the closer you get to fl. I like how he puts it on here before he talked to me and every one so quick to jump done my ass. and that snake bag had three wire ties and was checked three times twice by me and onc bye wife

So, what do you think the temperature is at 30,000 feet?

snake wragler you can suck my #*@%
Masked or not that will not be tolerated here.

Joe it is painfully obvious you are not certified to ship snakes through FedEx.

The packing job and general attitude in this thread has been abhorrent. You should refund Greg's Money ASAP.

It was marked "Caution" and "Handle With Care". I believe he sent it, the box was marked at 5lbs, but I also believe it is now somewhere between here and IL.

Oh that poor animal and the poor people who may be in for a surprise! That's awful and there is no excuse for it.

god forbid if it shows up unexpectedly in the UPS truck and he wrecks. I dont see this playing out well for anyone in the herp industry.
