My opinion

He is going to compensate me as on 8-1... He was honest with me as far as proving the het was a het and I don't mind keeping her.. It was the size I wasn't happy with but I'll always keep a true het pied no matter how big... You can never have enough even smaller ones... She is eating great for me here so I'll just breed her when she is ready... He really did bend over backwards to prove the genetics... And thats all I was really worried about. He did mention me as far as this trade deal... He didnt scam me and I'm real cautious about anyone I don't know... He definately has alot to learn in this field...

I do know that DHL is being really strict as I had 3 others that couldn't ship snakes to me but I use DHL very often... I think they started checking packages which sux..

I am a big fan APBT's and I did my research when I was going to purchase one and all the kennels I came across were NOT like the ones that Mr. Dumas is proudly defending. The only time I have seen kennels of that nature of Mr. Dumas' were for fighting I trully hope that is not the case with this kennel.

I guess I'll take that as a neutral. Unhappy with the representation (mis-representation) but happy with the genetics. We'll see about the compensation yet to come.

Would you deal with him in the future?


BTW, off topic a bit, but, Avoid DHL at all costs. They sent one of mine heading to Cali, east to Ohio instead, held it in an ice cold warehouse overnight, shipped it to another ice cold warehouse in Utah and held it over night, and than sent it west to Cali. It was a next day 10:30 package. The temps at both the warehouses were freezing at the time, but nice in Cali where it was supposed to go.

I have a APBT, and I would NEVER want to see him cared for like that.

The term "kennel" doesn't even apply here. He chains a few pit bulls up in his back yard, provides the cheapest "shelters" he can get away with, lets them mate and calls himself a breeder. Just another backyard puppy mill. Just another moron keeping dogs that, if not already, will end up frustrated, aggresive and maladjusted due to his lack of proper care.
Interesting to note that tonight he's deleted all the previous sidebar links to his (?) breeders, puppies, etc. Perhaps to cover up yet another attempted puppy scam?

I did a trade with him for a het pied female that was supposed to be 900+ grams for the spider male and pastel female he has... When I got her she weighed 500g. barely... I got the original paperwork from the sutherlands that came with the het. Before we did the trade I made sure the het was in the database on tsk's site and according to the ID# she was with a photo referance...I got him to send pics of the snake to verify it was a match.. They looked the same and I have the paperwork from tsk with me... What burned me was she weighed half the size and he agreed to kick some cash in to compensate for the misrepresentation... Which I have yet to collect... I've been burned on another occasion with het pieds before and that incident is in the archives here on the boi... I opted to keep the female as she obviously was just fed small meals and she is doing good for me here...This kind of stuff will give us honest folks a heart attack. I just made sure she was legit 3 or 4 ways before doing the trade... I wasn't happy with the size but she is as far as I can tell a true 100% het pied... Her ID# is 0508hpied16f4-6. I'm enclosing a pic of her on a scale when I got her...Yall decide but I was convinced....Jason

It looks like the same snake to me. If not then he did the best job ever of finding it's twin. Good luck with her, I think she will prove out.

It does seem odd that she left TSK last May at 241 grams and only weighs around 500 grams now. If you email TSK they may know who originally bought her. It would be interesting to see if John bought it from them, or got it from someone else later..... Possibly in another trade.

Yes I was wondering why she was small also due to her age... He did buy from TSK his name is on the invoice... He said all she would eat were mice and small gerbils... I havent gotten her to eat a rat yet but she is eating mice well for me and ate an adult gerbil... Ive got her in a yearling tub and since she's snug there instead of a big cage like she was in I think she will come to eat rats soon...I hope.. Thanx for your confidence, I hope she will prove out later.. This Pastel ghost is my favorite right now... Still breeding. Hope everyone is having a good season..

BTW Jason, don't want you to think I was trying to single you out. Just trying to offer that slight benefit of the doubt. (a very small doubt, but a doubt none the less) You are the only one who's come forward with a completed transaction with Him. It was pretty unclear if you were satisfied enough to do business with him in the future.

My question, although directed at you was to either raise the warning flag some more about John, or lower it a bit based on how you felt about doing future transactions with him. If you feel uncomfortable answering in public, (which I understand based on the demeanor he displays) PM me with an answer. I'll not share it with others if you don't want me to. But for my satisfaction, I would love to know.
