Dean, that is surreal. You have been nothing but pleasant to him! This guy is a class act... I don't feel that any of us were bashing him. Perhaps we didn't coddle him enough but I don't think a grown man requires coddling!

John, you haven't helped yourself in any of these threads. Please try to take some of our advice and maybe learn a little customer service. It will get you a very long way.

I dont get mad easily in forums as I like to keep my cool. I havent responded to the emails, like I would anyhow. As for wanting to help the guy, the only thing I can actually see helping him, and for those that know me, would be for him to utilize Craigslist as his method of buying and/or sell animals. There is no way anyone would deal with a guy on this level, in person or otherwise.

Dean... If he's talking to you like that through Fauna... that would definately be grounds for a banning... He obviously hasn't read the rules of Fauna... All this for just trying to help him realize the error of his ways.... He just needs to go hide somewhere right now... calm down... punch a couple pillows... count to ten.... go to a psychiatrist and learn to control his anger in a more civil way then to come on a public forum... berate someone for not calling on a phone.. then to send e-mails to those trying to help him out!!

It happens. As for the emails, I dont mind it really. Gives me something to laugh at. I would rather have him email me then someone who could be more sensitive to his approach.

A little politeness goes a loooooong way my friend.If you would have just been nicer this wouldn't have snowballed into what it has become.Not everyone or everything is against you. You just have to be willing to accept some criticism or suggestions without over reacting.

Yeah, I too got a nasty gram from him. I share a part of my past that only my closest friends and family know about in an effort to offer "proof" that even the worst of us can change if we just put forth the effort.
Well, he did admit that he ain't the smartest. Guess I should have taken that as my clue.

Richard, now I fully accept how he could possibly think that I was bashing him, but not you. The whole time, did he not see that you kept giving him outs, even when you posted your history, which I thought was very honorable from you by the way.

I'm not saying that I don't buy his story that he went to prison, blah blah blah. But using IM /text speak is the most unprofessional - impersonal form of speaking I've ever heard. A three year old seems to have a better ability to speak then this man.
I'm 85% certain he did not grow up being taught that way. I'm more then hopeful that if he is truly married his wife isn't even remotely as bad. Heaven for bid his 3 kids are growing up this way.
I also know in most prisons, for most inmates a general education is required prior to being released. Part of the prisoner reform programs that EVERY US prison has.

My personal opinion is that he simply has an attitude problem and is to lazy to speak like an adult. Sad issue is, putting aside his flame mails he sent, this has put him on my "Do Not Buy From" list simply because of his decision to use IM /text speak. Huge 'no-no'.

The other issue is, at times, with some people a person's own outlook and the way they treat others usually gives a good indication on how they treat and care for their animals. If he's willing to talk to a perfect stranger that way, who was being nice, imagine the possibility of how he may be treating his reptiles. It's not beyond the scope. Another reason why I wouldn't purchase even if he came back spelling correctly, using proper grammar and being extremely polite.

Whos "cursing"? One person, not "guys", posted his email. I refrained from posting the TWO emails I received from him, simply because out of the sentences, you could not get enough words to understand what he is saying. You can try to use your incarceration as a crutch if you want to but it wont fly with me. It all stems from if YOU want to change.

Here's an idea hombre, try NOT having a bad attitude, and people will view you differently. Representation is what it's all about. Even if your spelling does make peoples heads hurt, with a better attitude, it would likely be overlooked. Or at least, less would be said about it.

Trying to use things as excuses (prison) won't get you anywhere. I've been strung out on Meth, gone to jail countless times, (fortunately not for some of my worse events in life) I've lived on the street, under bridges, stole from my own damn family to support my bad habits.

The difference is, one day I realized, wasn't anybody bringing any of this stuff on me but myself, and NOBODY is going to make a change FOR ME. So I did it myself.

But you go ahead and hold onto that victim mentality and we'll see how far in life you get. Or you can wake up, and maybe things could be better for you.

I have purchased from Richard twice in the past and wouldnt hesitate to send him my money if he had what I was after.... so dont think that just because you were in prison it has any bering on your ablility to sell animals. It is your attitude that either makes or breaks you in this business.

And sorry to say... but with yours... you will probably wind up back inside. I see it almost on a daily basis. And dont think for one second I am talking out my cause I do know of what I speak of. Until my small biz takes off I pay the bills as a Correctional Officer.

I hope when you get back from your vacation here that you will think about things that have been said and maybe make a go of your reptiles endevors.
