Religious people would be in a world of hurt if God thought that way when forgiving the same sinner over and over.

That is my problem with some of those people why believe in god if you plan to sin over and over again... if you do it over again are you really sorry? Lol if our court system was like that we would be a world of hurt. ... I'm sorry I killed, stole, etc... fast forward a week, I'm sorry I killed, stole, etc, and again next week....

It was a clean bait and switch..
I believe this is what happened he sold all at the end of the summer 2013 and used the money to live off..or he's keeping all the male sunglow motleys and go to attempt to breed them for a big profit...he does have a person with a large group of females..so we will see..in spring if he and the other person start producing lg litters of motley stuff and albinos and sunglows etc.
He also bought a new car..so maybe thats where it went..

For those in the future who read through this whole thread, I hope one of the things you take away from this disaster is that it is worth the time up front to make a detailed written contract.

I'm really sorry this happened. Business is tough going right now for many, we should stick together in hard times.

A contract may seem like a hassle to write, but in cases like this, even between friends, it can save you a lot of grief

I guess it might help things if we knew a list of exactly what was given to Jordan (I think we might already have this), what was sold, what was traded for what, and what animals Jordan ended up with after all the trades?

Something like this: Received 10 Boas. Sold 4 Boas for $200 each. Traded 5 Boas for 10Geckos. Now have 10 Geckos and 1 Boa left, and $800 in cash.

What I have taken away from this thread is that Jordan Russell will lie to you when questioned, he will promise you the moon to get the reptiles he wants, he will drag his feet for well over a year then when it's time to be paid he will short change you.

Definitely a person/business to avoid.

Dave this is not about me. he is no way a competitor of mine. I do not like the way he stuck it to someone that trusted him.

It's noble of you to support your buddy even after he pulled a bad deal like this one.

Ed, Jordan has been a great guy and helped me out on several occasions. If you take a step back, and look at this whole scenario, there is probably fault to go around. The fact that Tibor is saying 400 days this and 400 days that, and in the same sentence says he lives up in Perris 20 minutes away just does not add up. I think Jordan has admitted some fault in the whole thing, but if Tibor really, REALLY wanted his stuff, he could have made a phone call and jumped in his car. Jordan does live in a gated community, but all he has to do is phone ahead...

It looks like Tibor wanted Jordan to do all the work and just hand over money. His stuff did not sell, he agreed to some trades that may or may not have worked the way they both wanted them to. Bottom line, if Tibor needed cash for his snakes, he could have sold them to Jordan at wholesale prices, or sold them himself, and paid for shipping, boxes, etc.

This. Things happen, and there is clearly fault on either side. That being said, I have faith that Jordan is respectable enough to solve it, as he stated 1092374867896 pages back.

Furthering this thread has become a bit ineffective.

Just a difference in opinion, no biggie, I can respect that.
no reason everybody else here should not be able to get along.

I honestly think Tibor and Jordan share some of the blame, and none of us will ever know what really went down.
I just think that verbal pummeling (in most cases) does not show the pummel-er in the best light.
Had Tibor presented his case in a different, more polite/constructive manner he may have gotten more support... but things went the way they did so now they both look bad.
Just my take as a neutral third party.

For those in the future who read through this whole thread, I hope one of the things you take away from this disaster is that it is worth the time up front to make a detailed written contract.
This can include an agreement about how the parties divide risk if the value of the stock declines, becomes sick, disappears or is otherwise no longer available as part of the deal.
It can include apportioning costs such a feeding and vet care if necessary.
It can put a specific time frame on the venture.
Contracts can be modified, but one can write into the initial contract that such modifications must be detailed and agreed to in writing by both parties.
This thread is not the place for a model contract, but I would be glad to help put one together in the forums if anyone has interest and starts a thread there.

I agree. I would like nothing more in this case to have Jordan be able to explain all of that trading part, as I really want to believe his side. I like him as a person (online personality anyway), as well as a champion for herpers rights. I said before that I would trust him with my stuff, and still would.

That said, there were apparently 2 pairs of snow rosy boas available at one time; a yearling pair and an almost adult pair. They were posted at the same time, and as an outsider that knows nothing about their origin, I would assume (and I know what happens when one assumes) that they came from the same source, in the same deal. One male (the 2013) was sold, and Tibor got one pair.

They were not posted until June, and Tibor said he did not have contact with Jordan between February and June. If they were acquired during that time, was that trade OKed by Tibor? If they were acquired before then, did Tibor know?

10 days ago, judging by his tone, I though Jordan was paying in full. That didn't happen.

As I have offered before and I will offer again, you are welcome to take anything I have listed to clear this debt. I do not like the world knowing that I am not thriving financially and that is what it is: if I had to way to put this behind me I would have done so immediately.

I have a vested interest in putting this behind me, I do not want to hurt my name and I'd love to no longer have Tibor in my life. The moment I have the funds he will be paid in full. I am hoping the delays are over with my shipment and the moment I have my shipment land he will be paid in full.

I think everyone thought it was very big of Jordan to take responsibility back in February. I for one was very impressed. Then this thread was started, and he said the same thing. I believed him then too.

Neither time did he do what he said he would.
