    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Damn, you and caging just aren't getting along are you. That bite Bro'. Sorry you are going through this yet again.

A couple points...it sounds like you are going to attempt repairing. In lieu of screws, you may consider epoxying the screen in place from the outside. Ditch the screws and rivets all together on the screen. Or even a Chicago screw if you could find one with a small enough length. :shrug01: The problem with those is simple, not only mounted wrong, but the rivet is a tad long. It shouldn't have such a long nipple IMO.

As for the slider, if the mold has a defect, and the plastic it rivets to is not a straight edge, than it is not really fixable without reshaping that flat edge/fixing the mold. All you will be doing is forcing the slider to the shape of the cage lip. It's likely to come out again later due to constant tension and useage.


Anyway, best of luck on fixing, or resolving this. Really bites what people seem to think is OK these days. But, at least it sounds like a dent may have been put into his shoddy efforts.
 
I am attempting to fix it. The molding wasn't warped too bad. Just really rough. I have the tracks on the right way now and Josh is supposed to be sending me new doors and a new screen for the top.
The screen got destroyed trying to remove it since it was riveted in and since the doors are not finished or cut straight, it's better to just replace them rather than try to fix them.
I've smoothed all the sharp edges and cleaned up the chatter and nicks as best I could.
I've been putting too much time into fixing this thing when I should have been able to take it out of the box and use it. :angry:
 
I told him I get $15 per hour for labor but that didn't go anywhere. :shrug01:
 
something I thought I would add though is, and I am by no means defending what this guy is doing, I see this kind of thing happen every day. Shotty workmanship from lots of different people. I work at THe home depot at special services, and I retularly see special order merchendise come in damaged, cracked, dented, and all out horrible looking, from the vender. For example, just today we had a toekick come in, boxed and packed with dents, holes, and missing stain. It was an expensive toekick too! and the manufactuer just shipped it to us like that.

But I bet they are not going to stick it to Home Depot and refuse to refund the price or send a replacement free of charge when they are contacted about it.
 
I am glad i saw this because I almost bought one off of him from e bay. i just checked my e bay watching page and it says that hes no longer a registered member
 
Probably from too much negative feedback in a short amount of time.
Last week his feedback was down to 95%. Might have dropped even more since.

Things like that tend to happen when you mess with people hard earned money.
 
him getting pulled from ebay wasnt anything to do with his negative rating it was because me and my 4 ebay accounts sent this thread to ebay tos board and explained that he wasnt holding up to his word and then i noticed he was gone poof lol just added my 2 cents

This is so sad really, had he just taken the time to do things right he would have been providing a good product at a price most of us could afford.
Perhaps he will fix his problems, replace the flawed cages he sent out with good product then come back and make a real business of it.
At those prices I'd buy a few if they were any good. I'm just glad I had not run across any of his ads before this thread or I'd now be one of the burned.
 
No longer selling on KS or Ebay now. Looks like he managed to destroy his reputaton rather quickly.

I haven't heard from Josh for a few days now. All I can say is that the new doors and screen better be at my door by November 16th or Josh will have hell to pay.

I am willing to chalk it up that I am one of the people that had a bad experience and got one of the subpar cages BUT he better have the new doors and screen in my hand by the 16th since that is the last day I have wth paypal to file the dispute. If I don't have the new items, he is going to be paying me A LOT MORE because I will be going after him for everything.

I know you are reading this Josh since you told me you saw this thread.

I agreed to fix the cage, and take the replacement doors and screen as a settlement.

FYI, you only have 5 days remaining, or you give me no choice to escalate this matter. Don't think you can let the clock run out and you won't need to make this right.

AT MY DOOR BY THE 16TH. No tracking info by the 16th since we both know how that went last time. REPLACMENT PARTS at my door by the 16th.

Don't blow the second chance I am giving you. The settlement I am willing to consider is EXTREMELY generous.

Tracy got chased off because of no BOI.

She says it is in the paypal dispute process. She has been sending e-mails to paypal but no resolution yet...
Hopefully with Josh messing up with E-bay she will win. She doesn't have any experience with paypal disputes so she's not sure how they usually go. The cage we bought is so warped in the track it cannot be fixed correctly. We originally bought it for snakes it may end up as a lizard hut, who knows.

Steve I say file with Paypal. You have been patient long enough. That way he will have to either do something to correct the problem or he will have to give a refund. It appears he does not care at this point.
