In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Steve I say file with Paypal. You have been patient long enough. That way he will have to either do something to correct the problem or he will have to give a refund. It appears he does not care at this point.

Steve,

Me and Tracy couldn't agree more. Don't wait on this guy. It takes a long time for paypal disputes and the closer Christmas gets the harder it will be.

John

Me too. Escalate it now. Send everything you have, all correspondence, to PayPal.

Hopefully you used a credit card when paying with PayPal - it affords an extra level of dispute. The one time I had to dispute something, PayPal was going nowhere, saying "You received the item, nothing more we can do", so I disputed with my credit card (you have to fax over all paperwork to your CC), and the credit card reversed the charges.

Then, suddenly, PayPal closed the case in my favor, when that happened... heh.

If you have had no correspondence, file a dispute. If he communicates with you afterwards, you can always cancel the dispute when it's been resolved to YOUR satisfaction.

Steve,

We have pics of the cage we bought in our gallery.

Oh man. Can he even send out one decent cage?
This guy is a complete tool.
No effort whatsoever to try and send out a decent cage.
I've put about 6 hours into this one so far and spent money on glue, screws, and dremel bits to repair it and still need new doors and a screen top.
This guy needs to just crawl back under the rock he came from, refund people what he took from them, and stay away from the cage business forever.

Come Friday, I file a dispute for a full refund. The time and effort as well as new parts bought attempting to fix the crap he sent me needs to be compensated for so he now better be prepared to issue a full refund. I think him offering replacement parts was just a stalling tactic and he had no intention of ever trying to make this right.

I used a CC thru paypal for the payment.

John, that is a topic for the General Business forum

I dont much about plastic/pvc caging, but is there any way to heat the lip of that cage to bend/shape it into place. Like using a propane torch on it or something?

Hey Steve, I'm sure you thought about taking a flame thrower to it a few times. lol...sorry...lol.

I'm sure happy I've always been happy with glass aquariums.

Heat gun will work. I used one to bend 1/4 plexi.

Thats most likely the only good cage he ever assembled. Its a shame he could do it at least once without the possibility of doing it more.

You haven't sent the doors or screen yet?
Well, you blew your second chance. I only have 30 days to file with paypal and I am filing now. I am not waiting on you any longer. Now I will let paypal and the CC company get my money back for me.

Paypal and Josh :censored: me on this one. I opened a dispute when it didn't ship. Josh sent me the tracking info right after that and it showed UPS had picked up the cage and it was on it's way. Stupid me closed the dispute since it was for non receipt and he was able to show it shipped. Well, now because he shipped garbage, paypal will not allow me to file a claim and I only had until tomorrow to file a claim if I could.
Time to have the CC company reverse the charges.

This :censored: is not going to get away with this.

I hope I never have to, but if I should need to file a PayPal complaint later on, I guess I should leave it open until everything is fully fixed. Not merely verbally fixed, but phisically as well. ?????

Is that a safe guess based on what you just posted? That bites. I hope your CC company gets it back for you.

Good luck
Rick

Yes. Do not take close a dispute no matter what the person you are in a dispute says because you cannot file a claim on them in the future if the dispute was closed.

I think he knew this and had me close it so I couldn't go thru paypal regarding his crap cage.

I have already contacted paypal and explained what happened and will now call the CC company.

I am sick of getting ripped off when I try to buy a cage.

You will probably have better luck with the credit card company anyways Steve.. Far less hassle. Hope it all works out for you

I'm glad to see his paypal account is locked up, but Tracy says; sorry it made things harder for you Steve.

Hopefully your credit card co will get the money back. Tracy's dispute is still ongoing, but it's looking better all the time.
