    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Joshua Guerroro--FYB Exotics--not too happy--anyone else have a problem with him???

Ugh.

The state that those blood pythons are in upon arrival is sickening. And it is also quite clear that they were not healthy before being shipped.

That said, a few months back, I inquired about a supposedly solid red and flawless Amazon tree boa. I believe it was being sold by FYB Exotics, if I remember correctly, though I can no longer find the ad on KS.com. Nevertheless, after several tries, I was sent a picture of a "brownish" Ammie with what appears to be some red and yellow highlights. Additionally, it seemed to have some sort of wound or scar along it's side. I looked at the photo in PS7 and zoomed in quite a bit to try to figure out if it was a flaw in the picture, but it does appear to be some sort of puckered injury. In either case, the Ammie was *not* flawless OR solid red.

Here is a picture of the animal I inquired about. The injury (or whatever it is) is circled in red:

Obviously, I decided not to do business with the seller. If I had any idea of what the future would hold for this guy, I likely would have posted on the BOI. At the time, though, it didn't seem like a big deal. With that said, though, I am sorry to hear about the most recent transactions gone bad, and I wish the best of luck to the injured parties.

dead snakes?

It's no surprise that they didn't let you know when they were shipping. The longer the shipment takes to be received the more likely the shipper would be to claim they were alive when shipped. The fact that you managed to open the box in a timely fashion and take pics ruins their excuses. I'm actually shocked they even bothered to ship it overnight!

John, I wouldn't be shocked at anything this guy does or tries to get away with.

When you say, "They" in the above quote, I must point out that there is no "they" it is one person selling under FYB exotics to create the impression it is a company of more then one person.

It is just Joshua Guerroro and someone to be avoided at all costs.

This is the second name change I have noticed with him... gets a bad name and then changes it!
 
WOW! Man I know this guy. He just doesn't strike me as someone who would do this?!?!?! I'll see him next week and I'll ask him what is up. Last time I talked to him he did have at least two partners for his internet business, I don't know if that is still what is up or not. I agree, that hole in the belly looks much older than 18 hours. At least you got your money back, not that you should have had to have gone through what you did. Gheesh! Hopefully, he'll come on and tell us what is up.

I have no doubt that these were dead when sent. Animals don't decompose and waste away like that in just the 18 hours it took to arrive from florida.

To be honest, the getting my money back didn't concern me as much as the state of the animals when I got them. Remembering that I got two seperate packages delivered from him with the same result, DEAD SNAKES!. I hope the guy changes his practices etc for the sake of the animals in his care....

If not, then I have no pitty on him what so ever and hope his business goes down the drain.

You'd think they would know better to come up with a statement like that, but..........

I kinda laughed it off when I first saw it, but when you think about it, it gives you a little insight as to the people you would be forming a business relationship with.

Basically, they lie to you in the advert because they are obviously struggling for cash to be "Pulling" this on people! So who knows what else they will lie about to keep your money and then some!
 
Wow thats horrible. I noticed it said you got them in the winter. How many heat packs did they use to ship to you? I would say if they were not already dead before leaving they were skinny and dehydrated. Then put in a box with way to much heat and probly directly on a heat pack burning them and cooking them. This would speed up the decomposing time. They also were probly full of parasites as well by the pics.

Thanks for sharing that to bad people like that live down here in FL.

I'll be sure to stay away from this guy.

Your scenario is a good one and very possibly the correct one. Of course there are many different possible scenarios, but I think the bottom line is these people are lowlife scumbags with the way they treat their animals and customers.

Money is the ONLY objective with these kids. Of course, making money is the objective of any business, but some of us actually care about the animals involved and that is the over riding fact here.

When you read their business venture advert they posted, you have to take a back seat and think ok.... marketing a product requires good writing skills and when reading their advert it becomes quickly apparant that the poor writing skills they show in trying to capture potential partners just won't cut it, but they still want your money and don't be surprised if they come up with another business name when FYB begins to stink too much!

All of the problems that any of my customers have ever had in the past have been either refunded their money or dealt with adequatley. I personally saw the Blood Pythons you shipped to Scott. There was nothing "quality" about them. They were clearly not in good condition when you shipped them. While we will never be able to prove it, I also think you shipped dead animals to him. As a Blood Python enthusiast, I was appalled to see the gross neglect on your part in the care and shipping of those snakes.

You say you took care of Scott adequately? Do you not remember telling him that you "Just couldn't take a loss like that" when he asked for a full refund?

How do you explain a THIRD dead Blood, when you finally agreed to send him one more? It would have been a total of FOUR dead bloods but you chose to sell the other one to someone else, rather than send a pair to Scott. But back to the point - how the heck did you manage to send THREE dead bloods in TWO different packages, and still claim it was not your fault?? That's insane...

When I originally emailed you about this, you told me I was "ruining your dream". No... The only person ruining your dream is YOU. Unless your dream was to sell people dead animals.

I am curious as to what FYB's idea of "adequately dealing with" an obviously dead before being shipped snake is?

Josh,

It doesn't seem like anyone is picking on you because of the way you write. Most have focused on the deplorable condition of the animals you have shipped. Most are mostly concerned about the welfare of the animals, and NOT how you write. You don't need to have a Master's in writing to fulfill your dream, but you do have to "master" your herp husbandry skills.
