This Board of Inquiry is here for people to post their experiences as well as their opinions based on the facts/evidence presented. So far, we have seen some pretty strong evidence (pictures especially) that show (beyond a doubt in my mind) that the original snakes that were shipped were already deseased when shipped. Now there are alot of scammers out there who do this to make money. FYB is more than welcome to provide it's side of the story, present facts/evidence. Be aware that people are reading this and they are looking at FYB for answers. They will determine whether or not they ever do business or recommend FYB to anyone else for business by how FYB is responding/continues to respond to these allegations.

If either Steve or Joshua are dislexic, then I would insist that no further comments be made reguarding spelling errors and for people to understand that is no indication of eithers intelligence level.

Dead snakes

I usually try to stay out of stuff like this, but now that your're here Josh,I've got a question for you.How can you explain the
disgusting,nauseating,deplorable,rotten,and sickening condition of that once living animal.That is the worst thing I have ever seen on this BOI, and I would love to hear you explain how a customer of your's could open a box and pull out something like that.I myself,and many others here care enough about living things to make sure that when we send an animal out,that that animal's
welfare is our primary concern.After seeing what YOU sent out,yes YOU are responsible

I'm not jumping in no bandwagon. Just so happens that I don't like to see animals neglected, and those three blood pythons were to the extreme. According to Mark and Aimee they were like that before shipping. Are you saying they never saw them before?

Please ask Brian and/or Rob to vouch in this thread for the quality of those three blood pythons.

I don't know you whatsoever, but we obviously know quite a few of the same people, all living in the Central Florida area. I have a problem though, I just don't see how it's right you bring up Joe @ JPPets and blame him for the condition of those snakes. If you purchased those snakes in whatever condition they became YOURS when you took them home. If you sold them under your name then they were YOUR snakes. I don't believe Joe would appreicate it if he knew you put him out there like that in a public forum. Anyhow I'm not judging you just speaking up for someone I know who's name has no business in this thread. Anyhow on a lighter note, I hope you are doing better after the incident at your job. I honestly can not vouch for Josh nor Steve's animals as I have never seen nor been to their place. I have sold them animals but I can not comment on the Bloods as I did not sell them to Josh or Steve and did not see them before they were sent.

If you're insinuating that Scott is trying to scam in order to get free snakes, then let me just say that I've sold to Scott and we had no problems whatsoever. In all of our communications and dealings, there has been no indication that he was trying to get something for nothing. I wouldn't consider myself one of Scott's "buddies", but if you are trying to indicate that Scott either A) can't take care of animals or B) is a scammer, then I'll have to vehemently object.

No, you may have a beef with them, but if Scott paid you, then his issue is with YOU. If the animals you received from JP were not in good health when you received them, why did you sell them? If they were in good condition when you bought them, why would the problem be with JP?

You seem to be blaming both JP Pets and Scott Collien for this situation, and the very fact that you find blame with both the person you bought from and the person you sold to is certainly suspicious.

THIS WHOLE PISSING MATCH THAT HAS BEGUN IS TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL. ALL I KNOW IS THAT WHEN I HAD THE BLOODS IN MY POSSESSION THEY WERE EATING FINE AND WERE HEALTHY. I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THEM AT ALL. THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. I WAS SHOCKED AND FRANKLY REALLY DIDN'T BELIEVE THAT THE BLOODS WERE DOA. IN FACT I WAS REALLY OFFEENDED THAT I WOULD BE ACCUSED OF KILLING ANIMALS. ANY OTHER PRIOR EXISTING INTERNAL MEDICAL PROBLEMS THAT THE SNAKES MIGHT HAVE HAD WERE NOT KNOWN TO ME. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH AND THROUGH THIS AND THE ONLY THING I CAN COME UP WITH IS THAT I MAY HAVE USED TO MANY HEAT PACKS OR SOMETHING. MAKE NO MISTAKE THE SNAKES WERE ALIVE AND APPEARED HEALTHY BEFORE I SHIPPED THEM. I WOULD NEVER SHIP A DEAD SNAKE. THAT IS JUST AN INVITATION FOR TROUBLE. WEATHER IT IS WITH THE SHIPPING COMPANY BECAUSE OF THE SMELL OR WITH THE CUSTOMER RECIEVING DEAD ANIMALS. Not exactly what I said... But I guess I wasnt that clear. I saw the animals shortly after they were recieved. Scott showed them to me. He had them in his freezer, and it was clear they were recieved dead. They looked horrible.

Yes, it strikes me as VERY odd! The only person who can explain this is YOU. What happened? Were they in bad shape before you shipped them? Or were they healthy? I remember the pics you posted on kingsnake, and the snakes looked ok there. What happened from the time you took the pic? Did they take a dive on you? Is this why you sold them for a low price?

So now you're trying to place the blame on the person you bought the animals from? Who did Scott buy the animals from, you or JP Pets? If my memory serves me correct, it was YOU. This places YOU at blame, and NO ONE else. If you couldn't care for the animals properly while they were in your care, why did you even bother selling them? Maybe you are saying you recieved the animals from JP Pets in sub-par condition? Then what happened to your claim of selling "Quality" animals? Did you even FEED these snakes while they were in your care? Or did you just recieve them, and resell them? Seems more likely to me...

Anyone who cares even a little bit about the animals they sell will hold on to them long enough to make sure they are healthy, feeding, and ready to ship. It is apparant you DID NOT do this.

This has reached the point of being rediculous. It is clear that Josh Guerrero is never going to make anything of his "dream".

Which letter were you reading? Maybe taking care of the animals according to whatever care sheet you read was not enough. It seems apparant you needed to look at what was wrong with them - not what size cage and what temperature they should be kept at.

Wanna know what people here want to read? They want you to admit you sent sick animals, and admit you tried to get out of refunding Scott. You tried to make him take the loss. It took many emails, threats, and promises to make you return his money. You wouldn't have done it at all, but Scott knew his legal rights and was ready to put them to work against you. You got scared, because your expensive Kingsnake.com account was suddenly at risk, and so was your Paypal account. Only then did you finally decide to clear the situation up.

I wouldn't even have to be posting here, but Scott is ill, and can't be at the computer long enough to respond to your posts. He and his wife are good friends of mine, and I am the one who got them interested in Blood Pythons. After seeing my Red Bloods, he decided to get a few for himself. After all of the bad dealings with YOU, I decided to sell my nicest male Red Blood to them, and they are VERY happy with it! We are now working out a deal for one of my females. Fortunately, the animals I have sold to Scott and Liz have all been healthy, and are still doing GREAT.

I'm just pleased that Scott finally got a LIVE Blood.

Josh asked me to vouch for him, so here goes. I have never bought from him, but I have seen some of his animals. He is a member of the CFHS and brings some in to show off/sell at our meetings. I have never noticed any poor looking animals there. As I said before Josh does not seem to me to be the type of person that would scam anyone. He is a young guy who probably could easily get put behind the financial "eight-ball" by having to refund money on animals he probably didn't have enough mark-up in in the first place. I refuse to believe he would package dead animals, he's smarter than that. Making a mistake w/ heat-packs is definately possible though.

Now moving forward. He has refunded the money correct? He has apoligized correct? Mark and Aimee I find it a little funny that Scott can take care of snakes but can't come here and type??!?! Bloods aren't the easiest snakes in the world to take care of, so if he's that "ill" perhaps he has enough to deal with already. Not trying to bash anyone, but lets not put any more snakes in harms way.

Josh's experience shipping reptiles is exactly why I keep balking at getting into the internet side of this business. I am terrified of packaging up wonderfully healthy animals and then getting a call hours/days later saying, "Hey, this stuff is dead, what are you gonna do about it?" It's both the shipping factor(s) and the unknown customer factor(s) that keep me away. I perfer to do my business face-to-face, and I've noticed Josh and his partner are starting to that as well. Hopefully that will work out better for them.

This board will not drop the subject until it finds the truth, or a reasonable facsimile.
So far, we have seen facts/evidence from Scott reguarding the animals conditions by way of pictures and eyewitness corroboration from Mark and Aimee.
We have only heard emotional pleas and fingerpointing from FYB though.
Does FYB have anyone who can vouch for the condition of the snakes before they were shipped?
If FYB thinks that it is possible that heat packs where the problem then FYB would be well advised to explain how they packaged the animals.

I must add that while we are all happy that FYB did refund Scotts money, we are still concerned about the welfare of the animals. If FYB made mistakes (everyone does) it is perfectly understandable. However, FYB needs to take responsibility for those mistakes and correct them so they do not happen again.

We are writing this reply in respose to the Fyb Exotics complaint.Our company has had many business transactions back and forth on a weekly basis ,both buying and selling with Fyb Exotics, and have never had any problems.We have had some feeder toads come in dead one time (which can easily happen with amphibians) we told them and they took care of it right away.Deals can go wrong all the time very easily between people,but as long as they are trying to right the wrong ,what more can you ask them to do?Why would anyone purposily send dead animals and risk ruining there reputation,exspecially over such a small order.We are not saying anything bad about the people who wrote the complaint because we do not know them or know the exact circumstances of what happened ,but if they have payed you back the money and apoligized for the problems that occured maybe you can put this behind you and instead of posting any more complaints.Thank You,
